2  Introducing... Autumn Fae (my first poppet!!) WARNING: PIC HEAVY in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Krysta on: September 16, 2008 08:02:36 PM
First off, I have to thank ghilie for making and sharing this wonderful pattern! I just loved making her and have plans to make 3 more seasoned poppets soon! As well as many others in my head. My crafty side loves you, my wallet hates you. Wink  Grin

Introducing my first poppet - Autumn Fae! (I know, how original eh? The name wouldn't leave me until I named something that!) The only thing she is missing is her head piece/band - I haven't made that yet!

Here she is awaiting her clothing.

Once she received her long gown, she decided to go out for a walk and found a nice hut to sit and enjoy nature.

Then along came a human (my sister, Jess) and asked for a photo with Autumn Fae, as well as a photo with a super cute fluffy being (our dog, Chloee)!

After a short photoshoot, she decided to head home and relax on her deck...

I'm not that far along with my poppet as I'm busy with a million and one other things, but I thought I'd post a poppet parts photo!!

So, I just need to decorate her eyes, finish stuffing her, sculpt her and joint her! I'll still need to make some clothes as well.

4  Re: Kitchen Sink ATC/Altered Art Supply Swap Rd 1 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Krysta on: March 19, 2007 02:01:30 PM
I received my package from Melladh today after I got home from work! YAY FOR MAIL MONDAYS!!

Melladh sent me: Swedish newspaper, Japanese newspaper, animal print cardstock, semi-transparent "asian" paper, origami, black & blue letters & number stickers, foam pieces, marbled paper, old christmas cards, piece of silk brocade, London underground bus map & tickets, glow in the dark eye stickers, fuzzy yarn stuff, playing cards, blue ribbon, black ribbon, cocktail swords, stars, lace, IKEA measuring tapes, postal stamps in a small matchbox, Japanese type keys from a typewriter or something, plastic foil roses, keys, old watch, moons, leaf beds, egg beads, fishie erasers... the envelope ripped a bit so I hope that nothing fell out!! I love it all and want to go play with my stuff now. Grin

Pictures: (excuse the pictures - my camera is really old and crappy)

5  Re: OY SCAVENGER HUNT ATCs, Round 6 (Jan. 26) in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by Krysta on: January 28, 2007 08:29:39 PM
Here is mine!!

Hand-carved diamond stamp, hand-carved @RT stamp, puffy letter stickers, pink craft wire, turquoise and hot pink stamp pad ink background...

I tried to use bleach to stamp with but it didn't seem to take very well, so I re-stamped the @RT stamp in black and outlined it in my art pens...

If you want to know anything else, please do ask! I think this is my favourite card to date! (I have more cards/art in my flickr accnt in my sig)

So I'm not new to Craftster, and not very new to ATC's but I've been away from Craftster for some time (personal reasons), but now that there is this cool board I thought I'd show off some of the cards I've made! Some of them aren't quite done yet, but I'm not sure what to add just yet.

If you'd like to know how any of them are made or anything like that, please feel free to ask!!

I totally forgot to post pics of the handcarved stamp that catpants sent me!

She sent me a double sided stamp. One side has a butterfly and the other, a tiger! Two of my most favourite things in the world!

Here is what it looks like stamped:

They are both SO awesome! I love them both and will make TONS of use of them.

Thanks catpants!!

8  quilted bird wall hanging - it's cooler than it sounds!! [5 imgs] in Quilting: Completed Projects by Krysta on: July 07, 2006 06:04:06 PM
So this was one of the things that I made for the Winged Creatures Swap that I organized. I liked it so much I wanted to share with everyone. I hope this goes here.  Huh

This is made with material mostly. Some painted, some image transfer. I added some buttons and things to give it a little somethin' somethin'. This is one of my most favourite things I've made so far, I had a hard time giving it away! I have an idea in the works for a sea creature based one now.

Full view of it...

Small bird tag encased in clear vinyl...

Main img of the wall hanging...

Shot of one of the corners... felt leaves and white buttons

My "signature" on the back...

Whatcha guys think?! If you'd like to know anything specific please feel free to ask!

so much nice stuff! i really appreciate it. thanks a lot krysta! this swap was a lot of fun.

Yay! I'm so glad it arrived and you like everything. I've got a few crummy pictures (camera battery was on the brink of dieing), so if you get you camera fixed soon you can post your own pics! I didn't get pics of the small painting - I forgot to put it with everything else.

Owl line drawing and view of cards (I so wanted to keep that line drawing for myself!

Crummy close up of cards... starling and crows

Crummy close up of other cards... more starling and crows...

And this is my most favourite thing I've made for a swap so far. The quilted wall hanging!
