1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Campfire Kit on: July 06, 2009 08:39:00 PM
Clever, thrifty lady.  What a terrific idea for a few bucks.  All the time put into it must have made your friend feel special.  That would be a nifty father's day do-dad.
2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Mini Octopus *pattern added* on: February 05, 2009 11:42:24 AM
Great job.  I attempted two octopi, based on the pattern in Amigurumi World.  The first looked, well, homemade in the wrong way.  For the second, I elongated the head for realism. But it looks like a Martian, so I got frustrated.  The big eyes you used look perfect.  Were the curls made by stitching really tight and small?

The gingham is my fave, too.  When my daughter was about 6 I made my first sundress, in red check.  I was sweating with worry the whole time.  You did a lovely job.  They all fit your sweet daughter perfectly, with room to play. The bloomers are a fantastic idea.  With ruffles?
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: V-day felt Bunny for my boyfriend on: January 25, 2009 10:56:15 AM
I love the way it looks very homemade.  The big buck teeth are perfect--fang-like.
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: fun valentines for middle schoolers?????? on: January 25, 2009 10:52:08 AM
Maybe bracelets that are similar but not exactly the same.  Coupons for a sleepover and movie night.  If you like to cook, maybe your fave recipes on nice paper.
6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: The Book of ____ & ____ (has txt muffin top!) on: January 25, 2009 10:48:43 AM
If I can get a link working, I'll post the video of an adult activity book I made a BF long ago.  He still has it after 17 years, which says something.  I found a patch for the cover "Smutt".  Maybe for raciness you could insert bedroom toys (condoms, edible underwear...) with instructions or illustrations.  That might get pricey.  Or maybe international names for positions.
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: If You've Seen Juno, Please Help! on: January 25, 2009 10:37:26 AM
How about some colorsafe bleach to make those shorts especially golden?  Or a stripey scarf (too Harry Potter?).  Sherlock Holmes pipe.  Something convex, like Juno's friend described her belly.

The way you personalized it with inside jokes will make it a treasure.  I like the way you used the queen with the Rolling Stones lips.  It's funny and endearing how you focused on the mellow parts of your relationship that probably come from him being himself.  It's not a list of how to please you.  My hubbie of 14 years and I just went thru a rough spot.  This will be a great way to show him I like him as he is.  And a reminder for me of all the little things.  Thanks for sharing.
9  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Re: Thrifted ceramic plates - makeover! on: January 10, 2009 11:27:31 AM
Fantastic.  Cheap and chic, lets your art shine through.  The pig's my fave, too.  I'm gonna make some tapas plates, I think.  Thanks for posting these.
