Awsome job!!!  Way better than the one that you ordered.  Love the hot pink too.

Has anyone else noticed that the model in the new Simplicity catalogue is April from ANTM!?!?!  I keep seeing her everywhere but I didn't expect a pattern book...  Undecided

I am totally loving the tucked into shorts look.  You're teeny so you can pull it off.  I agree, the fabric has to be lightweight.

lollie_pollie, there's a whopping 124 page thread here!

Not wanting to get left out my little girl found the scraps and asked if she could have one too.  So now we match  Grin

I've been lurking for aaaaaaaages and this thread just got me desperate to dust off my sewing machine and get going again!  For the first dress I found a gorgeous colour but they didn't have 5 yards left, only 3.75 so I couldn't make a circle skirt.  I just measured the waist, halved it and then laid out the length and made a long A-line skirt.  It took me a minute to realise that I had to sew the straps onto the RIGHT side since I had made the skirt differently  Embarrassed but after that it was plain sailing.  No overlocker, just the zigzag on my old machine.  I loved the fabric and I am LOVING trying new ways of tying it.  Here are two taken late last night after I'd just finished the dress  Cool

and the back of that one - bit wonky, sorry!

I made another one today that was black, knee length with a circle skirt.  But it was a cheap nasty fabric and the waist seems a bit big - seems like a common problem when you do the full circle skirt.  Not keen on all the fullness either so I'll use the leftovers to make one with a pencil skirt I think.

Thank you x 1 000 000 for putting this tutorial on here, I can't wait to make a red one too.

Thanks for the tutorial!  I can't wait to try this one out.  I never throw out old tshirts so I'm sure I've got enough to make one... this is next on the list.   Grin
