Love it  Grin I'm the same as you, yet apparently there's something wrong with me because I don't drool over the little darlings  Tongue

:DThey're tash tastic! The balloon one is cool too, if you're like me you can't help but smile when you see a real one so you'll have a permanent one on your wall Wink

Peihan, I was thinking of a moon behind the tree when I started (hence the colours), but the stitching kind of went sun ray like, so maybe it's a full moon eclipsing the sun  Wink

i love the shapes of older US houses - I've never really worked out why we don't have ones like it in the UK, the only thing I've ever come up with is that UK houses pretty much never have timber frames so you're limited by what shapes you can mke in brick and stone Undecided

I failed then, peihan  Embarrassed The design is indeed basically an Urban Threads one, but I thought instead of leaves you should have floating neurons...

Yeah, my brain is wired weirdly  Grin The sun does have some glow in the dark thread mixed in with the metallic and normal ones, but I'm not sure how well it'll glow. Again, seemed a genius idea at the time  Undecided

I just realised that I've been posting in the gallery thread and completely forgetting about this one  Undecided Anyhoo, hopefully hoop number 2 will be finished this weekend and sent Monday or Tuesday Grin I just wish I knew where Peihan's was in it's trans Atlantic journey!
16  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Knitting for Medecins sans Frontieres on: November 05, 2010 03:06:14 PM
I just saw this on Twitter and thought there might be some people here interested

Basically, you donate (no fixed amount) to download a knitting pattern and the money goes to Medecins Sans Frontieres. There's no set amount as you're encouraged to donated the amount of pennies per hour of pleasure the pattern gives you. They've already raised over 20,000 on the UK site, $3000 on the US one and there's even a Euro one for the Irish knitters  Grin

That is a very special hoop indeed. Lovely work and sentiment

Super Ted, weren't you interested in round 3? I'm sure I remember you from the discussion thread!

Just sticking my head in to make everyone aware that although I've agreed to give lisa5691 a hand as co-organiser, I'm not participating in this one, so won't be on the list of partners. Wink

And finally, pictures - sorry for taking so long Sad

Barbolot got me perfectly - I vaguely remember typing things like Addams Family and Amityville in my questionnaire, and here's what I got:

Squee! But it gets better - it came wih an LED flashlight keyring and an invitation to a ghost hunt to take place outside the house. What was lurking inside, I wonder?

I think they might have a problem with damp in this house Undecided

Ewww... what are they keeping those flies for?

Ever get the feeling you're being watched?

They'll never get those stains out

What happens at 3.15 then?

You'd have thought they'd want a family photo rather than a mugshot...

(Unfortunately you can't see these in their true awesomeness  Sad)

And I love the siding!

Thank you so much! I had it at work yesterday (the leaves are in our office car park) and it properly freaked a colleague out - she was convinced we were forever going to be cursed Grin The others were just wandering around with it going 'Ooooh, look in this window!'
20  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Steampunk Hummingbird on: November 03, 2010 08:22:10 AM
Oooh, I love the titanium effect of the colours! What did you use to get the metallic look, was it mica powder/pigments? Whatever it was, the end result is amazing, and yes, purple always adds awesomeness Grin
