3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Re: Any potters here? on: May 06, 2005 01:46:52 PM
Pottery student here! I just started learning about pottery in the beginning of this school year. I'm currently in Ceramics/Pottery II and the project I'm working on at the moment is of a hand on slab that's "reaching," named, who would have guessed it, Reaching. Tongue I can't seem to figure out how to make the hands look more realistic. I've never taken a drawing class so I think that is one of the main reasons why most of my sculptures look like the "typical" way a beginner would draw something. Well, I took home a Pottery book and hope to work on some stuff this weekend so maybe by practicing what the book explains, I'll be able to improve.

Maybe put who said the quote?

Besides maybe that, it looks really good to me. I should do that to my clothes... Well, knowing me, I'd mess it up somehow. What kind of paint did you use?
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Re: Does Anyone Else Throw? on: April 09, 2005 03:57:34 PM
I want to learn how to throw - both on the wheel and by hand. It looks really hard though. Maybe I can convince my Ceramics teacher to let us use the few wheels we have in class... hmm...
