11  Re: Pumpkins! Please share your Jack O Lanterns in Halloween Decor and Parties by ConcreteJungler on: November 21, 2006 05:31:53 PM
I'm not much of a carver.  OK, I am terrible with my hands so I had to go with a diorama for terror.  This is my "CSI" Jack for the building's contest:

The little fellow in the back is in a jumpsuit scopping pumpkin brains into a body bag.  The wires and bits are to the cd player with The Who playing on a loop.

12  Blythe hat! in Crochet: Completed Projects by ConcreteJungler on: November 18, 2006 12:20:14 PM
Yes, I am still trying to generate enough interest to start a "Crafting For Toys" board, so here is some topic-appropriate cuteness.  I did these in-between my JLA Blythe  Project.

Hee hee hee hee hee hee....

13  My JLA Blythe Project in Crochet: Completed Projects by ConcreteJungler on: November 15, 2006 02:48:43 PM
I have too many dolls and for whatever reason I decided they should be the Superfriends.

First was Teddy as the Flash, which I had posted here

I had hoped to finish them by Hallowe'en, but, well, ... um... I didn't.

So in addition to The Flash, I have Batman (with a very MySpace pose)

And Hawkman!

Maybe by the end of the year, I will have Wonder Woman and the Green Lantern done.  Then I can start on the Legion of Doom....

14  Cabled floppy beret on undersized head in Knitting: Completed Projects by ConcreteJungler on: November 10, 2006 02:15:36 PM
I really, really wanted a floppy knit beret but I could not find anything to fit my giant head.  So I, of course, turned to the kind folks here at Craftster and followed Lechaton's suggestion.

I was not willing to model it but Julie, my 32" walker Horsman, agreed to, so...

I realize it looks sort of silly on her, she's a 2T approximately but on me it looks fantastic!

I'll join!  Well, I did one already about four months ago for my giant nephew but it was my first dpn project and helped me unscare myself.  Also, I discovered I don't like dpns.  I'm doing another tiny one for my doll, can I join your knitalong with that?

Incidentally, my giant nephew who is about five months old here.

16  Re: Organization for Circulars? in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by ConcreteJungler on: September 07, 2006 08:09:01 AM
I use a standard sized 3-inch D ring binder and DVD pages (like the ones for CDs but they're wider to allow for the flattened box art, I think).  I label them with index labels (with different colors for different lengths like the 16" all have green labels with the size number on them).  Like so:

The rest of my apartment looks like a crazy old lady's basement.

17  Re: Circular Shrug / Vest - Scale Model - TUTORIAL in Knitting: Completed Projects by ConcreteJungler on: July 25, 2006 04:52:49 PM
I don't have a lovely Ani DiFranco doll, so I had to use a Blythe.  I'm still working up the momentum to join the rest of you with a full-size model.  And to do it in knit (this happened to be in crochet, but I think I got the proportions down!) .  I'd posted this in the knitalong too because I somehow thought it was this post (huh?  what?  how'd I get here?  Grin)

18  Re: Circular Shrug- created by keridana, julsey723, guessica, and others... in Knitalongs by ConcreteJungler on: July 09, 2006 03:04:10 PM
I made one in crochet for my Blythe, Gitta!

Someday I'll have enough ambition to make a full-size one for me!

OK, here's mine!  I used both yarns together in the palm under the theory that it would get the most wear and I replaced the last two rows of sc with one row of dc for the ribbon.

20  Re: Robot Swap Round Two Gallery in The Swap Gallery by ConcreteJungler on: October 06, 2005 04:31:12 PM
I got my package from Chibiwakki this week and here's what was waiting for me inside:

First, a handmade card (in the corner was a cute little robot that was drawn on the outside of the package):

The shoulder bag with button closures (buttonholes have always stumped me and I applaud Chibiwakki for the effort it took):

A close-up of the detail.  The sequins and the yellow and black bar were all individually applied.  The attention to detail is stunning!:

The keychain that was included:

Thanks, Chibiwakki!
