1  Teal, Plaid, and Babydoll. Do you need something else? in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Mezzi on: January 14, 2008 11:58:28 AM
I found a pattern for this dress in my grandma's house last summer and it just sat in my sewing room for ages. I brought it with me to college and made it there. Because apparently Boston and Babydoll dresses go together? I don't know. Anyways, here it is.

2  Now me and my grandpa can match! ~ An oogly christmas sweater dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Mezzi on: January 14, 2008 11:55:10 AM
I found this sweater at thrift and thought it had some potential. For a few weeks it sat in my crafting corner in the basement providing warmth for me and whoever else could fit inside. But since then I have located the thermostat and it was time to say goodbye. No before pictures but it was an XXXL sweater, imagine the hideousness.

Close up of fabric (ignore the weird drug riddled look on my face. I have no idea why my eye looks so wonky)

I'm wondering how long I can wear a Christmas dress for. I figure at least until all the decorations in my town are gone, so that'll carry me into April.

3  Sweetheart Striped Sundress...with cherries! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Mezzi on: July 22, 2007 11:13:08 AM
I bought this fabric a while ago at the thrift store and I didn't know what to do with it. I forgot about it and discovered it again recently. I've been on a sundress kick lately so I made myself a new one.

I didn't have a pattern so I had to make my own. I don't quite trust my pattern making skills, but I'm pretty happy with the way this one came out.

The bottom part is lined. It would have been see through otherwise! And where are the cherries? The buttons of course! They are the small cherry buttons that rag shop sells. I thought I'd used them already.

4  Urban Outfitters girlscout top Knockoff *pictures* in Designer Clothing Homage by Mezzi on: July 22, 2007 11:06:20 AM
I saw this top online somewhere and thought "Oh My Goodness, I must have it!"

But, It's an Urban Outfitters shirt and they want 40 dollars for everything. So when I found a girl scout sash at a turnover sale, I knew it was meant to be.

I feel like an anime character in this photo:

Close Up:

Annnd Badges I added. I earned these!:

The badges are, from top, Sports, Dance, Horse Appreciation, and (I think)Computer Fun. Oh yeah, nerd badge.

I made the shirt myself out of some jersey b/w knit I had. I didn't have a pattern hence why the collar is a little wonky.

10  This post is brought to you by stripes, pink, and the number three in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Mezzi on: February 20, 2007 04:11:44 PM
Eep, I've been meaning to share some of my latest crafted items with you.

I altered the amazing tutorial by TheGoblinPrincess for garter belt's a bit and got this. It's made from a t-shirt, though a skirt would probably have been easier :O

'80's hoodie! Made from t-shirts, fabric, and Tiffany. It makes me feel so deliciously tacky. Yay!
