1  Tooth Fairy in Space in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by tiltcreations on: May 23, 2010 06:48:05 AM
My 5 year old is a ways away from losing teeth...he was late getting them in the first place. But his soccer mates are starting to lose theirs. One of the moms found out I sew & asked if I could make her daughter a tooth fairy pillow. Turns out they are quite fun Smiley I started with some that were not for her so I could work out any kinks. This space themed one is my fave so far. They are about 9x9 and stuffed with polyfiber fill fluff stuff.

The backside has a planet that doubles as the "pocket" for tooth & cash

I now have a list about 20 long of ideas for themes Tongue And bonus - I can still make them when my sewing machine goes to the doctor next week since most of it is by hand Smiley

2  Re: Pictures of craft fair setup - Please post! in Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs by tiltcreations on: April 15, 2010 07:45:06 AM
I know it's been a while since anyone posted here...but I know some of these helped me...maybe mine can do the same for someone else  Grin I am always trying to tweak...shows with booths are not such a problem, but a small 6-8 foot table is! Especially when I have so many differing styles & don't use a fabric on a style more than once...looks way too busy.

A trip to Ikea resulted in bathtub shelves & wine racks. I put a drapery bar from shelf to shelf & hooks to hang the bags. (although this pic was my at home practice & used a yardstick since I did not have the rod yet)...I put larger bags at the tops of the shelves & let smaller bags "flow" down...was a bit too crowded - I'm still working on it.

The wine racks were set down on their backs & the slots were used to hold up clutches and larger zip pouches

From another show, I used a cake pedestal for smaller zip pouches & bookmarks

At that show I also used an upside down mesh trash can with ornament hooks to hand my keyrings

And this was with both the shelves/rod and a garment rack behind the table for the very large totes...ignore the me in the pic...had none without

Alrighty...computer finally cooperated - show is over - holiday party is done....time to post pics!!!
I so so SO love my partner  Grin Just looky....

First off - she even sketched on the box, so i knew the instant I saw it who it was from...

Then I opened it up...and squeed!!!

How cool is that?!?! My son wants to try it...nope! mine! ha ha ha!

I already have some ideas brewing for this fabric...it may also involve bunnies!

I think I'm going to hang these in the window in front of my sewing machine Smiley There are even blood drops (top edge of pic) that I can put on the fangs  Cheesy

And I have only one word for my glass Willow...WOW!

are ya jealous yet?  Tongue
Man - this swap was great ... everyone got such great goodies!!! Is there still more to see?

4  wallet/checkbook cover thingy in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by tiltcreations on: August 21, 2009 03:29:21 PM
I needed a checkbook holder but also with slots for cards - so after essentially copying the cheap plastic thingy that comes with the checks - I added some pockets & a tab and viola...I think my next ones may be finished off with bias tape around the edges to cut back on bulk though.

5  Troctopus squidy thing in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by tiltcreations on: August 21, 2009 11:37:00 AM
Ok - didn't know what to call this guy - my oldest said "troctopus" since it's like an octopus but with 3 legs, but the head shape seems more like a squid to me. hmmm..let's just say he's an aquatic alien life form Smiley Either way - I like him...he was fun to make.

6  Re: Stuffie/Plushie swap gallery of goodness in The Swap Gallery by tiltcreations on: August 08, 2009 06:35:43 PM
He is sooo cute....see.....

but first, the box. It was a tad rainy today, and at least the mailman put it under the chair, but I was worried...

but I didn't have to be...he was dry...and my son tried to snag him away right off...

but I got him back...he is now going to be my sewing machine guardian, 'cuz really, who'd want the sewing machine after being lulled by this cutie?

much thanks to Kwality570 for her awesome knitting...um, crocheting? yeah, which is it? I am a dolt when it comes to big needles...need to learn how...soon! (ok, crochet, I just reread the note  Grin)

9  I don't know what I am, but I like me :) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by tiltcreations on: August 03, 2009 01:45:25 PM
I have been sketching an army of little monsters & such that I am slowly turning into stuffies & embroidery pieces. This little guy got finished off last night. The only problem? I forgot to copy the pattern so I can make another one - doh! Cry Won't stop me from trying though...

Just wanted to share...
I just finished these bags for a friend's bridal party...and one for the bride.
Took the pics quickly - had to catch the light while we actually had sun  Tongue (not ironed completely yet either)
The dresses are a deep purple & it's a garden theme...
