133  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Small Gothic Lolita Valentine's Day swap on: January 11, 2010 04:14:49 PM
i am currently in the gothic lolita swap and i was thinking that it would be fun to have a simple/small gothic lolita valentine's day swap. maybe everyone could make one medium valentine's day thing-or a small. depends on people's interests. what do you think?
134  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Gothic Glamour Valentine's day Jewelry Swap on: December 14, 2009 10:59:18 AM
well, i guess the title really explains it all, lol. i was thinking it could be a swap where partners made a jewelry set- one necklace and bracelet would be the requirement, with an extra piece added to the set such as earrings, a ring, another bracelet, etc. id want it to be so that the package would arrive in time for valentine's day so that the receiver could wear it to look gothicly beautiful for their sweetheart, orif it be the case, to show their disdain for the holiday and to celebrate their awesome singleness Wink
anyways, i cant organize until i finish organizing the steampunk swap, so if someone would like to organize this around the beginning of january thatd be great!
135  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Mixed Media Fairytale Doll Swap on: December 07, 2009 09:24:44 AM
im in the fairygodmother swap right now, and people have been making the most beautiful fairygodmoither dolls. a lot of people here seem to be able to make gorgeous dolls out of mixed media, and ive been really wanting to make one lately. i saw past doll swap galleries, and i was thinking that we should have another one, maybe around januaryish? it would be cool to have people list their favorite fairytale characters and creatures such as cinderella, trolls, etc. and then have people spend a lot of time on one doll and make it come out fantastic.
136  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Folk Art Swap on: December 06, 2009 07:27:35 PM
so ive been looking at hungarian embroidery lately, and it is so beautiful and inspiring. i generally find folk art beautiful, and im sure other people feel the same way. i was thinking of maybe doing a folk art valentine;s day swap-would people be interested? i would want it to be a large one thing swap-or maybe a tiny swap. preferences?
137  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Steampunk Circus Swap (SU 12/4/09-12/22/09 SO 2/15/10) on: December 04, 2009 02:48:28 PM
The Steampunk Circus Swap

gallery: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=334745.new#new

Have you ever imagined how awesome it would be to have bears riding elephants while shooting with ray guns at seals that were jumping through flaming hula hoops? Well, for those of you who have, this swap was made for you. This swap combines both the love of Steampunk/Victoriana with the whimsicalness of the circus.
Some common thoughts that may be running through your head is, well, what can I make for this swap? Well, the possibilities are endless! Lets say you are not very into the circus but you love Steampunk- your partner has the option of crafting items to go along with your Steampunk ensemble, and has the option of not adding circus like elements to it. For all we know, you may decide to wear these items to the circus and therefore it goes along with the theme. Along the same lines, if your partner is more into the idea of the circus, than you may craft things that a Gentleman or Madam would like to see in the said circus.
Bottom line is, however you wish to interpret this theme is up to you! Just make sure to be clear with your partner and to have good communication.

This is a 6point swap, and for people who do not like the point system, a small, medium, and large swap. I expect communication once a week until you have both sent and received so that there are no flakers!

i was looking at some crafts that featured silhouettes-shirts, paintings, bags, and i was marveling at how simple they look to the untrained eye, and at how beautiful they are. i thought of the cutest idea on how to make a cameo themed bag, and i was thinking that it would be cute for a swap. anyone interested?

(wow i post a lot of swap ideas here, lol.)
139  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Pastry Themed Swap on: November 21, 2009 07:44:41 PM
i was looking at other food themed swaps, and i was thinking that it would be cute to do a pastry themed swap, where people send and receive items that are pastry theemed such as jewelry, house items, etc, and possibly some actual pastries. would anyone be interested in this? perhaps we could do this around valentine's day?
