1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Book of love: Because saying "I love you" isn't always enough (img heavy!) on: March 24, 2010 08:19:08 AM
So I wasn't quite sure where to post this but I think that this is a general project. Part of the stuff I used is recycled, but mostly I used new stuff.

This is a gift for my dear, dear boyfriend. I made this to him because saying "I love you" just isn't always enough. I just felt I need to show it to him, too. I also love surprising him with self-made stuff! I hope he likes this, because I put so much energy, love, time and (mostly) glue to this one. I actually run out of glue two times, I've never ever used so much glue in one project in my life Cheesy It took me about 10-15 hours to make this, because I'm not very fast to make these things.

Soooo, here it is:

(most of the texts are in Finnish, so I've translated parts of them. I'm not gonna translate everything, though, I'm not sure how to translate jokes and stuff like that. I'm sorry!)

Front cover which I actually made about a month ago.

Picture says "with you I'm the happiest girl ever", and that's us kissing.

"Love is" page. Something girl-ish and boy-ish there. And us. All the pictures in this book are about us or taken by me/us, by the way. Last lines are "...two hearts in one beat."

Silly pages and the smallest love letter in the world! There is a real letter inside the small envelope.

Because we are super stupid when being together.

"The green pages" are my favourite ones! I love those ice cream pictures of us, I miss last summer so much!

I'm actually super happy with these pages, couldn't ever guessed I can make something like these Cheesy

There can't be a book of love without our loved cats. They're both adults now, but I thought these kitten pics would melt his heart (and they will!).

And Luigi's page, too. Love those furry bastards so much <3

Real love letter here. In the letter I tell him why I wanted to make this book and so on.

Last page already! This one is pretty messy but I still kinda like it.

Back cover. It means "every heart is a bit idiot" Cheesy And a pic of us, of course.

And because it's a gift...

Thanks for looking, I hope you liked it! I hope my boyfriend likes it, too. I can't wait him to get home today Cheesy
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / A hideous skirt to cute... skirt! (TUTORIAL-ish added, page 3!) on: May 08, 2009 04:36:17 AM
Finally new stuff from me! Yeah. I bought this ugly white skirt from flea market ages ago. It has been lying around since then. Couple days ago I found it again and decided to make something better from it... this is how it turned out:

(broken image links removed)
I'm in love! I've never done anything like this but I think I did it quite well (comparing to my sewing skills of course).

Here's a lace detail. I added there all the lace I found here Cheesy

Aaand here's what it was before:

Huh hideous! There's our cat lurking behind me too. She's not hideous, though Grin (sorry about dark picture, my boyfriend doesn't really know how to use my camera.....)

So what do you think about my new summer skirt?
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / I miss Lord of the Rings swap? on: January 11, 2009 01:06:39 PM
I searched for Lord of the Rings swap but I couldn't find one Sad So would anyone besides me be interested? And someone friendly enough to be an organizer?

I can't be the only one who misses Middle Earth Cheesy
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Coolest nerd t-shirt ever! on: January 03, 2009 02:27:51 AM
Imagine a plain white t-shirt which you don't really like. Imagine a nerd kid who loves lame nerd jokes and that people hardly ever get those jokes. Imagine these two things together and here's what you get:

I llllove it Cheesy there's two jokes actually. (those jeans are also a bit diy! they were bootcut jeans before Wink)
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / From beer label T -> tube top on: November 19, 2008 02:44:24 PM
I know I have been super active today but I was so inspired by everything Cheesy lol. K, k, I just went through all my t-shirts earlier today and found this super big T which once belonged to my dad. It's Olvi's (Finnish beer label) shirt and I haven't worn it for ages because it's way too big. I then clicked through Craftster and found one tut which was just the thing I was looking for (click)!

I hope you like it as much as I do! I haven't done anything like this before so it was quite an adventure. I'll explain the texts later.

That dog was their ad while ago and he's called Jeppe. Front says "Olvi dog association" and back

"Find it Jeppe, find it
- good boy Jeppe [and I don't know what the end is literally in English, sorry!]"

Thanks for looking!
6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Another photo journal on: November 19, 2008 11:18:18 AM
I got inspired by all the great photo journals I've seen here and everywhere. Today I was so inspired that I actually tried to do one myself. This is how it turned out:

it has pages for example from my old English & Swedish books, social studies notebook and Mickey Mouse comics

I also made a little mistake with this one. I got confused with the covers and after the book was ready, I noticed something.. pages were upside down! I was like "man, can I ever do anything right?!" but after a while I noticed I can just use it "the wrong way". So the original front cover is still the front cover but the flowers are just upside down (and the heart, too) Grin

I thought these would be lovely Christmas presents for my friends. I hope that next time I manage to put the covers right.

Tut can be found here. Thanks for looking!
7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Two tote bags! (The Used & Star Wreck) on: November 19, 2008 10:50:31 AM
So, I had these two blank and boring totes and I didn't really like them. Then I found this nice little black color and ta-dah! Here's the result:

The Used

and the other, too

Star Wreck

If you have no idea what the heck is Star Wreck, go here! Cheesy And then the pic:

this one is actually a gift for my friend who's huuuuge fan of SW ("Voi torstai" is Finnish and means "Oh Thursday", it's a quote from the movies)

I hope you like these Smiley I know I do!
8  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Newbie from Finland says hi! on: July 17, 2008 03:18:06 AM
So: hi! Cheesy

I'm an 18-year-old girl from Finland. I found this forum couple weeks ago and have been lurking since then. Yesterday I realised that I could join here and share my random stuff. I haven't done things like these (like sewing etc.) very often but now I'm eager to try!

My English may be odd sometimes but don't care. I'm still learning.
9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My first hand-made journal on: July 17, 2008 02:26:08 AM
I've never done anything like this before but I'm quite pleased how it came out. It's very simple, just made of fabric and an old calendar. I used this tut and my own so-called intelligence to make it  Wink Here's the pictures (I really need those 10 posts, it's nicer to post pics than links) :

Front cover

Back cover

And the very first page. I tested my water colors last night and I'm definitely going to use them more often!
