11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My first recon! on: July 29, 2008 07:50:33 AM
Someone gave me a top that was really nice but it didn't have sleeves and I never wear tops without sleeves because I hate my flabby arms...
So I cut it up and sewed it to another top. The black top was a little bit too short and kept riding up when I bent over. I also made braces from the red top and sewed them on, then added buttons.

Here is a picture with me wearing it.  (excuse the dusty mirror, Too busy crafting to clean it! lol)

Please excuse the bad picture and the dressing gown.
Does it look OK to wear in public? I haven't worn it out yet 'cos I'm not sure if it looks silly.
Please give me your honest opinons.
Thanks for looking.

12  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Sequins on a bag on: July 29, 2008 07:43:54 AM
I didn't know where to put this topic because I didn't make the bag. I just recontructed it by putting sequins on it. Still not sure if this is the right place tho'!
Anyways, I had a bag but it looked a little boyish and plain so I put some girly sequins on. Lovely and sparkly. Just the way I like things! (I'm cheesey I know..)

13  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / some long scarves on: July 29, 2008 07:38:53 AM
I knitted some scarves last summer ready for the winter. First time I have knitted anything. :-D
I got the idea for the black and pink one online somewhere. I think it was called 70's disco scarf but I'm not sure. The squares did look chunkier but because it's really long (almost to the floor) it is quite heavy and so stretched it out abit. I made a black one like the red one but it's a little thinner and longer but I can't find it at the mo'.

Here they are:

Thank you for looking.

15  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / button earrings on: July 18, 2008 05:46:55 AM
Hi I just saw some earrings julianasprotege just made and thought they were fab so I just had to make some of my own!

I made a black and green pair and a blue pair. My metal rings wasn't big enough to put the two buttons on so I used clear thread to tie them together.  I can't wait to try out different combinations and I might make some with different layers on. Like 2 buttons then 3 then 4 all hanging from the one hook.

So thanks again julianasprotege for your inspiration!!
16  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Lots of stuff I have done!! Loads of pics! on: July 14, 2008 09:57:45 AM
Here's loads of different stuff I have made. Sorry about the amount of pics!!

Heres some stuff I made to match our living room:

I used the wallpaper thats on one side of the room and stapled it onto some blank canvases so the cream walls didn't look to plain.

Next we couldn't find any tiebacks to match our colour scheme (brown and blue) so I bought some beads with this sticky back tape on and stuck it to some brown ribbon.  I used the leftover beads to put around lamps and a candle.:

Here's some stuff I made for my bedroom which is pink and white:

My curtains were too long so I cut the ends off and made pillow cases from them.

And also used the scraps on other things like this wall hanging picture thing.

Picture I painted:

wall painting,

Also I made a tray that sits on my dressing table to put some of my makeup in. I've got too much makeup now so I might need to make a bigger one.... hehe.

sorry about the blurry ones.

I regret putting glitter in it because it gets everywhere.

Action shot, I've got double the amount of makeup now. Tut tut.

Let me know what you think :-D

Thanks for looking!

17  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / bracelet on: July 14, 2008 08:34:40 AM
Hi my mum had an old bracelet she was throwing out so I took the horrible little charms off and put some sequin type thingys on it. I've just notice that they have a film over them and some are starting to come off so I will replace them.

Sorry about the akward pose but it's hard to take a piccy of your hand!
18  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Old top into new pen roll! on: July 14, 2008 08:07:52 AM
Hi, I made a pen roll today! Someone gave me a top that was a little too tight and didn't suit me so instead of throwing it away I thought I would chop it up instead!

Here's the before:
