1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / READ WRITE CREATE THINK (Stenciled Tee) on: February 01, 2009 11:41:18 AM
I saw a tee like this on a website but I didn't feel like paying $24 dollars for it so I made it. I like that it looks a little messy.

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Conjoined Bunnies Sketch --> Applique Hoodie on: February 01, 2009 11:35:08 AM
I sketched these bunnies and decided to put them on a hoodie. I decided against the diamond and paper airplane but I added an ice cream cone button in his belly. What do you think?

Here is the sketch:

While doing my Physics homework the other day I started to doodle...one thing led to another and this sweatshirt was born.

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Wool Sweater+Button-Down+Floral Cardigan=Awesome New Sweater on: January 06, 2009 09:02:17 PM
I went to Goodwill one day and got a wool sweater, a button down, and a floral cardigan. First, I cut the wool sweater down the middle. Then I cut up the button down to use as a closure. I cut off the pocket off the button down and sewed it on the sweater. The appliques are from the floral cardigan.

I think it's pretty sweet...what do you think?

5  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Appliqued "Uggs" on: January 04, 2009 01:57:05 PM
I bought some fake Uggs from Costco($40) and decided to sew patches and buttons onto them. I wore them in the rain one too many times so the back part got ruined. So I covered the back part with fabric. First I glued the fabric down then I sewed the edges down(Needless to say my fingers hurt like hell afterwards). I also wrote "live" and "love" on the back part of the sole in Sharpie when I was bored in class one day.

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Conjoined Bunnies Sketch --> Applique (Fixed Pic) on: January 01, 2009 07:21:48 AM

I was daydreaming the other day and I thought up an insane doodle so I drew it...

This is a sketch of conjoined bunny rabbits throwing a paper airplane. One has a diamond in its belly and one is a pirate complete with an eye patch and a bite mark in his ear.

I think I will cut this picture out of felt and then sew it on a a hot pink hoodie I found at Goodwill for $2.

9  CLOTHING / Designer Clothing Homage / Delia's-Inspired Hearts, Clouds and Rainbows Hoodie on: December 31, 2008 04:28:16 PM
I saw an awesome hoodie at Delia's but it cost $44 bucks : (

So I went to Walmart and bought a navy blue Men's hoodie for $10. I took it in and sewed on the cloud, rainbow and hearts with felt. I also sewed ribbon on the pockets and replaced the drawstring. Finally, I stuffed the cloud to make it more realistic. It's my favorite hoodie.

Here is a pic of the Delia's version: http://store.delias.com/item.do?categoryID=753&itemID=46292&sizeFilter=&colorFilter=&brandFilter=&siteID=mH0jcSTu40-NthYbzN1O9jyCcB6By6VpQ

10  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Dr. Kevorkian Stenciled Tee on: December 30, 2008 04:35:53 PM
I bought two t-shirts at Joann's, took them in, and switched the sleeves. I then I made a stencil of Dr. Kevorkian in Microsoft Paint, traced it on to freezer paper and stenciled it onto the shirt.

NOTE: The story behind this t-shirt is an inside joke that happened on a camping trip with my friends. I don't necessarily agree with Dr. Kevorkian's views on euthanasia.
