21  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Very special Christmas Gift on: January 02, 2010 03:27:15 PM
These babies are three of the babies my family visited in an orphanage while on our trip to africa. These kids held a very special place in our hearts and we loved all three of them so much. We even tried to adopt one of the girls (light pink shirt) but we were unable to. These kids changed the lives of our entire family. So this year I painted them for my mom and dad for Christmas.

25  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Sewing Fleece? on: December 30, 2009 01:07:38 PM
I was trying to make a stuffie out of a blue fleece like fabric, but my machine will not sew it! The needle just pokes ugly holes in a row...I tried getting heavier needles for my machine but it still will not work...
Does anyone know how to fix this?
26  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Weight Watchers Recipes on: November 08, 2009 09:31:33 PM

Hello Everyone!
I started weight watchers this september and I have really liked the diet. It allows you to eat what you want just in moderation.
I can't be the only weight watchers dieter out there.
So, I thought we could share our favorite weight watchers recipes and snacks.

I made these yesterday and they are really, really yummy and super simple to make! Especially if you have been craving chocolate cake during weight watchers...like me Cheesy

Chocolate Muffins
One box of devils food cake mix
One can of 100% pumpkin (15 oz.)
(NOT pumpkin pie filling)

Mix the two ingredients together, batter may be dry, if it is add just a little bit of water. Bake according to box instructions. DO NOT add the other ingredients on the box (oil, eggs and water) The batter will the more dense than regular cake batter as well.
Do not be fooled by the dry batter, these muffins are very moist and dense and very very tasty.
According to the website this recipe was on, each muffin is 2 points  Smiley

29  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / My favorite things book. on: October 31, 2009 08:00:43 PM
I am teaching a class to kids on this book I made previously- https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=320030.msg3687939#msg3687939

And I wanted to make another one showing them it could be their favorite things too.
So I made this book using my own collection of stamps (Which is much smaller) so I made the book a little bit smaller. There are eight pages but I only put some of my favorites.

My favorite things book spread out

30  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / African Boy on: October 31, 2009 07:55:44 PM
I drew this boy using prismacolor pencils. I love Africa and he was from a book about Africa I have. I love the way he turned out. It's not very realistic but I like the sketchy look of it.

Enjoy.  Smiley
