1  Brimmed Slouchy Beret in Knitting: Completed Projects by kyou on: July 17, 2007 03:39:14 PM
I've seen tons of crocheted versions of these and thought that it was about time to see a knit one! I love the color of this yarn like you wouldn't believe, it's such a deep shade of blue that it looks black in some light. I used really big needles and finished the whole hat in 2 1/2 hours, and this was doing garter stitch in the round! I made my own pattern. As soon as it was done blocking I wanted to wear it, but sadly I don't think I'll get a chance to until October.

2  Heart Bomber hat in Knitting: Completed Projects by kyou on: July 12, 2007 06:54:46 PM
I've been wanting to do a hat like this for a long while. I finally figured out a perfect way to do it, top down! I worked it completely in one piece without picking up stitches. I really love how it turned out, but had to send it out for a swap. I'll definitely have to make myself another one, probably in black and pink, and I also want a striped one.

3  Amigurumi Tiger in Knitting: Completed Projects by kyou on: June 27, 2007 03:30:34 PM
I love felting things! I've been designing a bunch of little animals lately. They're so much fun and they're super quick to knit. This is my latest, a tiger.

I'm going to make a white one also, with blue eyes. He is nameless.

4  "Pink" Elephant Amigurumi in Knitting: Completed Projects by kyou on: June 20, 2007 05:06:28 AM
I love this little guy, even if he does hit the bottle a little hard. He took about 3 hours start to finish. It's my own design, and I plan on making a lot more! He doesn't have a name yet.

I've never really felted anything before because I've been too afraid of over felting. I don't have a washing machine, but I figured out that if you use the dough kneading hook in your Kitchen Aid mixer, it works out about the same  Tongue

5  Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 22 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by kyou on: May 31, 2007 12:32:17 PM
A few days ago I got an awesome package from fashionruler! She sent me a surprise of polymer clay food. First, a charm bracelet with tiny fruits, how cute is this?!

And here are some magnets. I took an action shot of them holding up a picture on my fridge. The spaghetti (my fav food!) has sparkly sauce! I love them!

And I just found out this was her first time doing anything like this with polymer clay. I am blown away! Thanks so much, fashionruler!!

I got completely spoiled by penguinsarentpink!

These bracelets are made from black pearls, in honor of the 1st pirates movie. She also attatched super cute piratey notes to each item.

This top is super long and looks awesome on me! I'll hopefully be able to get an action shot later.

And my favorite thing, the tote bag! I love pink and stripes! The stitching on it says "BLOODY PIRATES!"

I love everything!  Cheesy

9  Re: Magic Yarn Ball Swap 4!! in The Swap Gallery by kyou on: May 03, 2007 09:13:59 AM
I got mine from balletfreak a few days ago and finally got a chance to unwind it. There were tons of goodies inside!

I hope I can list everything! There was a mini deck of cards in a super cute tin, polymer clay food, notebook, a couple zippered pouches, Edgar Allen Poe book, a notebook, emery board, nail polish, fabric, dog collar, puppet, bracelet, earrings and a headband. It's hard to see in this pic, but my favorite was the paper lantern! The yarn is a beautiful wool/soy silk that goes from purple to blue to orange, I can't wait to work with it. And no, the Chihuahua pup was not wrapped inside! She was checking everything out and this was the only picture I snapped without her right in the middle of it.

I finally got the camera back! Here's Bebe with her if-you-don't-have-a-cookie-go-away face. She loves hanging out in the giant bags I've been getting!
