5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / girls poncho on: July 15, 2008 05:20:31 PM
recently i came across a pattern for a girls poncho to fit 3 to 6 years of age,it was made with nylon ribbon,so using a 5 1/2 hook and dk wool i made it up with a bit of difference what i did was for 2 squares did the first 2 rows in white then 8 rows in lemon, then 4 squares with first row in white and 9 rows in lemon.
all up 6 squares,i turned one square with 2 rows white into a diamond shape then sewed on each side 1 square with 1 row white then did the same for the back, sewed up 2 sides and added a shell trim to base, and for the top i crocheted around then added trebles for the threading through and then shell trim.added chain measuring 1m for ties and added pompoms to ends
as soon as i take a piccie i will show
