11  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: macaw vector for college app. portfolio on: February 01, 2009 04:40:38 PM
You should look up information on AP art. College expect a lot of variety in a portfolio, and if you have an amazing portfolio you get good scholarship money. If you look up the guidelines for the AP (Advanced Placement) Art portfolio, it will give you an idea of what colleges are looking for. It will also challenge your creativity. I was really lucky to have an AP Art program when I was in high school, and now that I am in college, and have been for a few years I truly believe that the AP guidelines fit college expectations. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

You should move to Florida- it always looks nice here and we've (so far this winter) only had two REALLY cold (by Florida standards anyway) days where it was under 60 and at or below freezing at night. It really does cramp my knitting style though- its too hot to wear hats and scarves and gloves most of the time Sad

Nice robots!

We were at the beach. Everybody had matching towels. Somebody went under a dock, and there they saw a rock. But it wasn't a ROCK, 'was ROCK LOBSTER.

What kind of dish is that? I love it- looks like Pyrex, but I have never seen anything like that made by Pyrex...

I think your problem might be in the tension setting on your Satanic machine. I'm not for certain, but you may want to adjust the tension on some fabric scraps. Funny fact: changing to a different needle can actually cause a need for you readjust the tension! I would definitely suggest reading your manual- I waited YEARS to read mine, and can't tell you how many "Oh so that's why!" exclamations I went through.

I love the color scheme you chose, and I love the bridesmaid dresses. I think I might have to steal your sunflower bouquet idea- those are my very favorite flowers! Your dress was beautiful, and I loved the cake toppers.
