2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Mario Kart on: October 31, 2011 10:45:21 AM
My friends and I decided to do a group costume this year. I made my whole costume and the others made various parts of their costumes. We all made our racing carts. I was Yoshi!

More pics by request. We also made our accessories. I made the stars and the blue, green, and red shells. One of my friends made a banana peel. When we went out, we used the dance floor at the club and ran races and we used the accessories to throw at each other lol.

6  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Captain Kirk Pumpkin!!! on: October 24, 2009 10:13:11 PM
My friend put together a girl's night and we all carved pumpkins. Being the trekkie of the group, I decide to carve Captain Kirk (as portrayed by the great William Shatner.) I was happy with how he came out because I really didn't think I would be able to carve his image that well. On to the pic...

7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / *MATURE* Monsieur Winky on: July 27, 2009 11:32:36 PM
Okay, here is my latest project. I love cross stitch but I have not done a lot of cross stitching so it is far from perfect. I wanted to do something that would make me laugh every time I looked at it, so Monsieur Winky was born (I am immature sometimes  Smiley )

Here he is in his frame that I found at Goodwill. I am thinking about spray painting the frame black but I am not sure. Also, do you think he needs a border around him? And yes, he does have a monocle and a mustache.

8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Watchmen (or just a comic book swap) on: March 05, 2009 04:26:06 PM
I thought a Watchmen swap would be fun since the movie is being released. We could use the graphic novel or movie as inspiration! Or we could just celebrate comic books in general. Although, I am really feeling the Watchmen thing right now. Anyone else interested?
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Nothing-too-special-but-I-like-it dress on: January 28, 2009 06:17:17 PM
I made this dress a little while ago but am just now getting around to posting pics. It is nothing too special but I liked the fabric and thought it would make a cute simple type dress.

Excuse my head being cut off. I just had my wisdom teeth taken out and my face is swollen.

Also, it is belted with a same color fabric strip, so you can't really see the belt. I could do a red belt too.

I was also thinking of adding pockets. What do you think?
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Another Butterick 4790 dress on: August 03, 2008 12:18:54 AM
I have seen this dress posted many times on Craftster and I just had to have one of my own! I found this great fabric that I thought would give the retro pattern an awesome look. So here it is:

The sleeve looks weird in the picture because I didn't realize it was turned under when I had the picture taken. Boo.
