1  Calls for Swap Angels / Swap Angel Archive / Re: Make Love Not War Swap - Angel Needed on: February 06, 2009 05:41:21 PM
Thank you both for your interest, but we have found an angel!

If you post in the new swap ideas thread, somebody might create a round 2!
2  Calls for Swap Angels / Swap Angel Archive / Make Love Not War Swap - Angel FOUND on: February 06, 2009 07:53:40 AM

Needing one angel for the lovely littlemissproof. She was flaked upon, and then I was unable to angel for her due to personal circumstances.

She's been very patient and sweet, and she deserves a really special package.

If that's something you can create for her, please PM me.

Here's the original thead -

And the gallery -

It was a really fun swap!
3  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Make Love Not War! Closed **NEW SEND OUT DATE!! Send Outs 12/15/08** on: February 06, 2009 07:33:45 AM
Hello to all of you

I am so sorry I have been offline for quite some time. We received some distressing news in our household - my father has been laid-off from his job. It kind of put everything on hold for a while as we all had to reevaluate our living situation. We live on Long Island, definitely not the cheapest place in the world!

Craftster is going on my list of things I don't need right now - it's just too expensive to be shipping out packages every week as well as buying craft supplies. I apologize that I've been such a bad organizer! I suppose I'm just not good at the whole balancing act. I will be sending out all your extras for being a part of my swap, and Idlers make-up package of course. But that will be it.

Littlemissproof, I've sent you a message concerning your angel situation.

Happy Days to all of you! Thank you for being a part of my swap, and for being so patient with me.

Oh, I'll also be updating all feedback now. Please message me if you haven't received feedback yet.

Idlers, I was just on here to message you haha. I actually went ahead and created a new package for you. In the event that the first package does turn up, you'll have double the goods. But I really can't imagine it taking this long to ship.

And to everyone else, that book is sooo good! I've been reading it every day since I bought it, going back over it and what not. I love it.

Oh Aimee, I too am excited to see this package. Sounds like it was chock full of great items.

After hearing about that book - it has an intriguing title - I had to check it out for myself. I bought it today and so far it's wonderful. Sally I recommend you get it, you'd enjoy it!

Either that Lady Hope, or the postal service is just sucking terribly lately. I think my package to Idlers has been lost Sad Which really bothers me because it included my first attempt at knitting. That's like a piece of history damnit!

Anyways, we have a flaker. Ginger Child has flaked on Littlemissproof and if anyone would be so kind to be an angel for her, please PM me! She's been so patient and lovely about the whole situation and I'd really like to get something out to her sooon!

I've created a little something for you all, just for being members of the very first swap I organized. Thank you all for being great participants!

But while cleaning up my inbox I deleted some of the questionaires by mistake. So, if you wouldn't mind, could you each message me your address?

Thank Ya!

Ok Ok, without further ado here are the AMAZAZING goodies Nobodyhasthisoneyet has sent me...seriously, I can't tell you how much I love these items. Please, excuse this ridiculously long post. I was too excited.

First, the delicious bagel I was eating while photographing my goods...please note the fine layer of veggie cream cheese - it's our stores specialty, and special it is on your tastie-buds...

Onto the crafts...A rug! I believe it's made from t-shirts, and it has an awesome fishy fabric on the back (underwater was a theme in my package!) I love this, and as soon as my visiting aunt gets her tush out of my room I'll display it proudly at the foot of my bookshelf.

Close up of rugged ( Cheesy ) goodness

A pencil pot! Or, at least that's what I'll be using it for. I love the lid, it makes it look like I'm hiding something magical and very secret in the mysterious red tube.

An adorable keychain with a little starfish on it! I love this, and now that I have my own set of keys (yes, at 21 I have only just gotten my own set of house keys) it'll be the "star" on my keyring...harharhar

And in keeping with the underwater theme, 3 little fish stuffies. Please excuse the absence of two, my little sister stole one right from the box, and then my friend knicked one too! I'll have to fight for them later, but right now here's a pic of a lonely fish in a tree. He's too cute (Oh, I've named this on Maxwell...he's yet to find his silver hammer though  Wink )

Alright, before I show you the absolute epic item in the package, I'll show the bought goods. Now, I don't know if I mentioned this in my questionnaire, but I *love* scarves. I collect them. I have a wall of scarves, all old and all purchased secondhand. So Nobodyhasthisoneyet, thank you so much for adding to my collection! I love them.

Now....dun dun dunnnn....here it is. My most favorite item, it will sit nobly on my bookshelf, and everyone who sees it will bow at it's greatness....

A FRICKIN YELLOW SUBMARINE! As in the Beatles. As in my most favorite band ever. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou! I can't imagine the time you put into this, it's absolutely lovely and I adore it!

You've been a wonderful part of the trio, Nobodyhasthisoneyet. Thank you so much for creating a lovely package for me, it couldn't have been more perfect.
