2371  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Ongoing ATC swap - August 2013 Gallery on: August 31, 2013 07:14:58 AM

Ok, so here is the image I unwrapped yesterday. Of course I look at the goodies before reading notes or letters, and I thought to myself, 'what on earth would have been the subject matter i asked for to make someone create this ATC??!!!' Then immediately I said to myself, 'I don't even care! I love it!!!'
So I read Whysteria's note that said I had asked for 'weirdest dream you ever had.' She dreamed she was flying, riding a loaf of bread.
I cannot begin to describe how delighted I am with this image. Absolutely everything about it strikes me as wonderful!! The colors, the red hair flying, the position of the rider, the wee smile, the eyes, the way the shoulders are hunched up a bit as if in happiness.
So my husband mentioned flying last night and I raced to show him the card.
He went nuts!! He proclaimed it the best ATC in the world and laughed in hysterics and delight. He insists on putting it on display in a very prominent place in the house. I agree.
His take on the facial expression is... 'hey, this is soooome weird dream, ain't it?' as she looks out at the viewer.
Thank you, Whysteria. If you ever wondered why you had that dream it was just so a few years down the road you could bring a huge smile to the faces of two people you've never met in Upstate New York.

I very much appreciate all the interest in this subject and for those who are expressing a desire to make it work. It is so refreshing to see how many people care.
I guess I was hoping it would be a simple thing and suddenly we seem to have complications. So if I am not posting frequently (since I started this thread, that might be expected) it is because I am just plain  exhausted, overwhelmed, frozen, etc. about complications. I am really not in a good place just now emotionally and find it difficult to deal with multiple problems.
Just sooo many crises in my life all at once and when it was put to us that it would be an illegal swap, I just threw up my hands and thought 'see, nothing works in this life anyway, there is always something that comes along and stomps on a little seedling of hope.' That is not creative or healthy or good for problem-solving in general, I know, but it is where I am just now. Hopefully that will change.
I have good days and bad days and that may be reflected in posts that sound very different from eachother. Rather, I have so-so days and Hellish days.
I will hang in there, try not to abandon this idea, try to be open to everyone's ideas, and especially everyone's drive to make it work somehow.
