2361  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Ongoing ATC Swap Discussion Thread for 2013! on: August 26, 2013 08:36:56 PM
Hide it under the bed. I know that sounds ridiculous, but no one looks there!! I too have supplied scissors to my house for other means, and I have to hide my seamstress shears! i walked in on my brother using them to cut flowers and nearly had a heart attack!!
Wow, this is the best idea! Thanks!!!
And thank you for the sympathies from others, lol.

2362  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Next Round for Little Visitor on: August 26, 2013 08:34:31 PM

I would love to try the Little Visitor swap. I know #17 is in full swing. When might the next one be? Is there one for each season? Is it a 'guarantee' that it will happen again? Has this been mentioned already and I simply cannot locate the thread? I was not successful in a search... Thanks!

2363  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Ongoing ATC Swap Discussion Thread for 2013! on: August 26, 2013 08:15:39 AM
Soooo, I guess I just need to vent here and see if anyone else experiences this...
I am in the middle of creating an ATC which takes several parts to complete. One part is both drying and pressing between napkins, under a heavy cookbook. Does the sight of such a thing not trigger suspicion? Well, hubby just yanks the napkin from underneath the book and uses it. Who knows where my pressing parts have disappeared to.
I am sure that all I need to do is to get  smart and label these things!! I do not have a work area, so I create all over the house, wherever there is an empty space.
Anyone else have this going on? I can forgive the cats for finding and messing up my stuff, but a grown man... I guess I am expecting too much.
Thanks for letting me vent!!

Hey, it's Meg. I am eternally grateful for this ATC swap... whenever I am stressing, I run to my craft shelf, pull out a cereal box, cut it down to 2.5 x 3.5 , then the sky's the limit!!
I like, no, I LOVE cats of all kinds, watercolor and pastel painting, gardening, the hummingbird is my totem, I love pretty fabrics and want to collect them some day to just have stacked in a corner cabinet with a glass front so I can gaze at them and drool.
Would like not to get anything religeous or that containing nudity either partial or full.
I live in upstate New York, usa.

bushbaby made a wonderful house from Scotland, the land where I plan to retire!
I have pics in abundance but my camera broke about 10 minutes before opening the package...arg!!!!! So here are nasty pics from my camera. Bushbaby, pls repost if you have better (hope you do.)
Unassembled

Scottish tablet yumyum (well, of course it has a bite out of it!!)

Balancing act during glueing time

I will do whatever it takes to make this glorious house come out right. My left thumb does not work, so I did not get the roof perfect...

Done! Soooo bummed that you have to wait to see the awesome watercolor details (hint hint bb!!)

Think it sooo interesting that the wee wall goes only 3/4 of the way around. Artistic or realistic?

I actually sighed when I looked at all the stonework. Makes me long for the days when I was a youth in Scotland

Windows are not perfect which makes them absolutely perfect if ya know what I mean.

Thank you so much, bushbaby. I ADORE this gift!!
