Ok, I did not know where to post this one so here I am in the misc. craft disgussion section. . .

Anyone have any ideas on an easy way to make a Prayer Shawl or Tallit?  Our Church Youth Group needs one for a lesson being taught on their retreat in 7 days  Shocked  So far I've looked up pictures in google and may try to sew one unless I find any better ideas. . .

Due to a few complications we are having with one of the swap partners this swap has a few new rules.

1. Please keep in contact with your swap partners (both, the one you send to and the one who send to you), do no send your journal on if you do not get a PM back from them saying they are ready.

2. Post in the thread once a week, even if its just to say your busy with test this week and will post more the next. . .

Remember per the Swap Info Guide that we
need to us DC for this swap. . .that means First Class or Priority (Flat Rate envy is the best price for journals 14oz and over) are your mailing options.

23  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Card Journal *caution ~ nude art* on: November 14, 2005 12:32:41 AM
Have got a shoe box full of these aurora cards. . .so I'm always playing around with them. . .saw a book like this two years ago at a rubber stamp store which is where the idea cam from. . .

The backs have the same aurora on the back as I cut the front off another card for the backs. The stick used in binding is a chopstick painted with nail polish.  Pictures on the fronts are from art books and the book with a nude has a togle clasp to keep it shut when not in use.  All in all they are quite easy to make. . .

26  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / 100 Journal Project on: October 17, 2005 11:05:33 AM
After reading another thread
I was thinking we could do a 100 journals project kinda like

Journals would be sent along randomly (you don't tell the recipent) as you particiapte in Craftster Swaps.  Sighnup would actualy be for who creates/starts the journals. . .whom ever starts it recieves it back in the end.

We could do this severyal ways depending on intrest. . .

1) Say only 10 people sighned up to start/creat the journals each would start 10 (slowly, say over the next year)

2) Each one started each by a different person

3) 25 participats each starts 4 journals. . .

Either way 'sighnups' stay open till all are claimed/started.  Journaly are passed to swappers with positive feedback only (to avoid getting lost). . .and journals would travel as suprises along with a curent swap you send out.

Being more of a project than a swap I'm not sure how of if ther would be feedback. . .I guess the first time out they could go as a swap. . .to the other journal starters.  Ideas? Yea? Nay?

3/4ths of the yarn. . .
