the goods wrapped

And it was a bad day when I received so I did not wait till Christmas to open the Christmas ones...
yarn wreath, coffee mug with warmer, tote bag, gift bags made with news paper, pincushion, bib, homemade bows, soap, tea wallet, B-Day card, and an envy of coupons and stickers

22  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap 5 *-*-GALLERY-*-* in The Swap Gallery by princessblueberry on: December 08, 2009 01:40:25 AM
Thank you missapril!  Aside from the stocking and andies everything was from my wists  Grin

There are andies which we snuck in to our date night at the theater...

Here is the stocking, which is now hanging up with hubby and son's, am waiting till Christmas to even peak in there.  So more pictures then  Wink

Warm and cozy slippers for my collection...

A new box for my advent calendar...only need 5 more than me set is complete.  Squealed when I saw this one I LOVE it!!!

Goodies for LadyBug due Jan 18th...headband (too tight for me but baby girl can grow into it), cloth diaper with matching pants,  baby leggings, a baby pod (I had been eying these for month on wists, etsy, and craft shows...they were always knit and I can't knit.  This one is in my favorite color  Cheesy  Can hardly wait to get pictures of baby in this one...), and the most awesome flannel blanket with snoopy on the yellow squares and paw prints on the pink ones!  Richard keeps trying to steal it before sister's arrival...we (and by we I mean my sister but we helped care for him) used to have a beagle named snoopy when I was a kid...

LOL!  That advent calendar box keeps sneaking into all of the pictures  Cool  Not only is that a coupon binder it is full of coupons  Cheesy  Felt scraps, silicone ice cube tray, and an awesome butterfly bag!

Christmas ornament

Aside from what is hiding in the stocking till Christmas that is it, I think....was going to post a pic of the car seat cover I sent missapril but someone deleted half the pictures on my camera, which included the goodies I sent her... Tongue  So if you have a bit of imagination see the nursing cover I sent her in this swap gallery (near bottom of page) https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=301592.60 and picture this carseat cover here made with that same fabric https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=300029.msg3423383#msg3423383 only no bows.  The lining fabric was either pink or black left over from the pirate scull onesie dress...it was one of the first things I made for this swap  Cheesy I think the first was the scarf holder, followed by the needle holder so I guess that would make it the 3rd thing I made for the swap...and I'm rambling so it is off to bed with me...

24  Green Cheep Gift Bags in Winter Holidays by princessblueberry on: October 04, 2009 12:47:49 PM

Am putting this under Christmas because I'm making them for Christmas...plan on using this idea all year round though...

Gift bags get expensive around Christmas, normally I just reuse the ones I've gotten but I never have enough for the big holidays...seemed a waist to spend $2-5 on a gift bag when reusable grocery bags are so cheep.  So this is what I came up with.  Take an $.88 grocery bag and  a couple scraps of fabric from yard sales & 2nd hand store that I picked up for pocket change.  A little cutting (I gave an extra inch for folding over on each side), some pining, iron flat, then sew away...

I just covered the front and back so the logo will not show...but you could also do the sides and bottom to help strengthen the bag to make it last longer.  The plastic thing in the bottom is getting a treatment with duct tape before going out so that it does not end up in shreds.

Being made of fabric they won't rip as easy as the paper gift bags like the MIL's gift bag I used for her B-Day last night and can be reused more as gift bags, or move onto a life as a fancy reusable grocery bag, a tote bag or even tell the kids it is a toy bag...

Keep a mental note of the different sizes and colors the different stores carry and most have a logo bag for a $1 or less..JoAnn's & Target's are larger and I've already counted 4 different colors and 3 different sizes...

Here are the rest of the pictures of what missapril sent...THANK YOU!

In the beginning was geek 1.0, who with the help of his wife gave birth to geek 2.0.  Geek 2.0 grew up and ended up working with many other versions geek at her father's business.  One day she met a new geek 1.0 installation in a meeting at work, she thought he had a bad attitude and pretty much ignored him.  New owners and many months later this new geek 1.0 asked her out to lunch.  They fell in love and got married, many years later they had a baby...geek 3.0
The End

LOL, no matter weather you go generational or mathematical Richard is still geek 3.0

G. 1.0 = my dad, 2.0 = me, 3.0 = Richard
M. 2.0 (me) + 1.0 (dan) = 3.0 Richard

Daddy called him Space Creature before he was born...

someone is tired of changing his shirt and being told to stay still...

Shirt # 5 and some extra goodies that Richard seems to think are his...LOL!

seriously he keept stealing the yarn and I had to put it in the box and close it...

another action shot...

burp rags...sh! Don't tell anyone but I think we may have a use for these is say 9 months.  Test said no but that is what it said the 1st month I was prego with Richard...and my body is saying remember this...

and an extra shirt...
