Here is a whole new batch of my Hair Baubles.  All the cute little images were hand drawn by me on shrinky plastic, hand cut and baked in the oven.  Hope you like 'em.

So I have seen a few people on here making these amazing brooches out of measuring tapes.  So I decided to make some too.  Hope you like 'em!

13  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Aprons are LOVE on: June 07, 2009 12:12:39 AM
I made these puppies tonight.  I named the first one "The Ref" as it was made out of a gently used referee shirt.  The second one is made out of a St Louis Rams shirt.  The pattern I used is out of a new book called The Perfect Apron.  I love this book!  These are super simple to make too.

14  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Black and Hot Pink Polka Dot Apron with heart pocket on: June 05, 2009 10:58:24 PM
I just finished this super cute apron (of course I think all aprons are cute) tonight.  The pattern came from this new book I bought called "The Perfect Apron" by Rob Merrett.  It was really easy.  I am in love with it.  Too bad it's gonna get covered with color and hair at work.

15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Alkaline Trio Back Sack on: June 02, 2009 04:44:29 PM
Hello all!  I haven't posted on here in a bit, but here is a new bag I made yesterday.  I found this gently loved Alkaline Trio tee at my local Goodwill.  The only problem was that it was a youth medium..way small.  I knew I'd have to make a bag out of it.  So here it is:

The straps are a pair of wide width shoe laces I found at the dollar store.  Hope you like it.

16  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Wrist Cuffs and Hair Baubles on: May 18, 2009 09:57:02 PM
Here are a couple of wrist cuffs I made today, and a couple of new hair bows.  I hope you like 'em.

So I am busting out some new stuff for summer.  Here are two shirts I made today.

18  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / New Wallets! on: April 26, 2009 10:07:41 PM
So now that it's been warming up and I don't feel like hibernating anymore, I've been busy sewing. I made these wallets tonight.

19  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Red and White Polka Dot Kitchen Curtains on: April 08, 2009 05:09:44 PM
I found this cute fabric at a thrift store near my new house.  I just had to have it, but didn't know what to do with it.  I went to the dollar store the next day and found a red and white polka dot oven mit and matching pot holders.  So I decided to make matching curtains.  Yay!  I love them.  They were super simple to make.  Enjoy!

20  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Cute Skully and Guitars Lamp on: March 01, 2009 11:30:32 PM
My hubby and I recently moved to Illinois, so I am still getting the house settled and such.  I got this lamp for free from work, so I decided to refinish it.  I forgot to take the befores, but basically the base was a gold color (electroplate) and the lamp shade was a weird paper mache looking shade with leaves on it.  I sanded it, and primed it.  Then I used antique white acrylic paint for the base and used some fabric from my stash for the shade.  Enjoy!
