11  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Devil's Pitchfork turned mermaid's trident on: October 16, 2017 05:16:10 AM
thanks!  Grin

the pin came from this article that talked about reusing Halloween props and accessories for another costume.  so basically you could have been a devil one year and a mermaid the next!  I'd love to have two of them, but I don't want to take up a ton of space displaying them.  I need to leave room for other things I make.  Wink

isn't it?!  Grin

no, I didn't put a light in it.  I was thinking of doing it, but I ended up not.  I mean, I still could if I wanted to, of course, but for now it's unlit.
13  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Darkiplier and Antisepticeye cross stitch projects on: October 16, 2017 12:06:38 AM
two of my favorite YouTubers - Markiplier and Jacksepticeye - have created (with the help of their fans) dark versions of themselves.  and the videos are so fun.

I just love these guys so much (the actual guys and their characters) that I decided to create cross stitches of them.  I found these all on Google with no idea who the actual creators are (technically Anti (the green pic) is just a screen capture from one of his videos edited by pixlpit/betapixl on YouTube).

I adore these video games, even though I've never played them.  I have to watch others play them because my PC struggles to play solitaire, and I'm just not good at games like this.

the first is a pair I made featuring one of my favorite characters, Foxy the pirate.  they're glitched versions of him to look spookier.  they're made from a GIF I found on Deviantart, but now I can't find it on there.  Sad

the second is a set of some of my favorite characters from all of the FNaF games; Foxy, Funtime Foxy, Lolbit, and Springtrap.  I found the sprites on DA as well, and again, can't find them.  Sad

I bought this frame AGES ago and had so many plans for it.  they all fell through.  I wasn't happy with any of them.  but then I found these pretty acrylic crystals at Joann's for 60% off (I'd never have bought them at full price.  it would have cost a FORTUNE).  after attaching the large ones, I realized it was still pretty bare, so I found small clear disco ball style crystals at Walmart.  yes, Walmart.  they were far prettier than any I found at any other craft store.  this is now hanging above my bed and I LOVE it.

17  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Family bracelet on: October 15, 2017 10:43:57 PM
since I don't have siblings, all of my mom's "mother's" jewelry has been her's, mine, and my dad's birthstones.  this year for Mother's Day, I decided to make her something for the first time in a while.  we both wear those Alex & Ani bracelets, and they gave me the idea for this.  while inventorying a Michaels, I found these bracelet blanks and round metal blanks that I knew would be perfect for my idea.  using my metal stamping set, I stamped "FAMILY"  on the bracelet, and our initials on each of the round blanks.  I have a "nasty" habit of buying those nail art kits with tiny rhinestones, and one set happened to be birthstones, so I glued our corresponding rhinestone above each initial.

unfortunately, my mom has bumped the bracelet on things and the charms have fallen off.  but she found them, and asked me if there was a way to keep them from falling off if it happened again.  I came up with the idea to wrap purple wire around the end that unclasps and they haven't fallen off since.  it's just not shown in the picture because I added the wire after taking it and never took a new one.
18  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Witch's cauldron centerpiece on: October 15, 2017 10:32:59 PM
last month I posted my cute Jack-O-Lantern Centerpiece.  I was whining about not being able to find these little pails again at Walmart.  I just didn't see them because when I was there about a week ago, there were two boxes of them.  Cheesy  I wanted to do something different this time, so I grabbed a cauldron pail.  and in my other post, I said the pail was like $.97, but I think it was even cheaper than that.  or at least they were this year.  I got the flowers for $2.50 (they were on sale this time.  originally $5) and the witch's hat pick for $2.00 (originally $4.00).  one of the big flowers didn't have glitter on the center, and since I wanted to add pops of color to an otherwise all black piece, I painted the centers of all of the flowers with Mod Podge, then sprinkled orange, green, or purple glitters on them.  the hat pick had little styrofoam balls on the ends of some stems, but thanks to my inventory crew and customers, some of them got pulled off and others get smashed.  but I was able to save three of them.  more color popping with Mod Podge and glitter.  and this was the result!

20  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Markiplier and Jacksepticeye cross stitch on: October 15, 2017 10:20:42 PM
two of my favorite YouTubers are Markiplier and Jacksepticeye.  another fan made a combo logo of their logos, and I made it into a cross stitch.

Mark's logo is an "M" with a pink mustache while Jack's is a "septic eye" named Sam.

it's just so bright and loud!  kinda like them!   Cheesy
