1  Christmas decorating 2009 in Winter Holidays by lanfear33 on: November 30, 2009 12:03:58 PM
I just wanted to share some of the Christmas decorating the kids, dh and I did this weekend!

Tree (with feet LOL):

Some stockings:

Grinchy quilt rack with quilt (on a side note, my Grandpa actually made the quilt rack itself years ago before he passed away--so it's crafty too...)

Kitchen window--this is my daughter's creation:

And last but not least, my table display--although I think it could use a bit of something else:

Thanks for looking!

2  busy weekend at my house... in Crochet: Completed Projects by lanfear33 on: November 30, 2009 11:41:05 AM
Well, in addition to decorating for Christmas (to be posted in the home decor forum) I made a few things...

Here is the entrance rug I made with the left over yarn from the afghan I made a couple of weeks ago:

Fimo'd some hooks to make crocheting easier:

First time Fimo-ing as you can tell by how ugly they are... LOL but they are really nice to work with...

AND I started crocheting a rag rug for my living room.  I am tearing old sheets, etc into 1cm wide strips and crochetting them together.  It is a HUGE pain, but I think it will be cool when I am done.  Here is the picture of the beginning of the rug and the hook that I modified with a longer handle to make it easier to crochet something so tough.  (I modified it by duct taping two chop sticks to it and putting fimo on it. MUCH easier to use!!!)

3  Brown and blue... in Crochet: Completed Projects by lanfear33 on: November 23, 2009 09:46:29 AM
Just finished this afghan to match my living room.  It was fairly easy, pattons pattern.  I used carron's simply soft yarn and it turned out very snuggly and warm!  The colors in the original pattern were olive, orange brown and white, and since I am not a fan of those colors I chose two shades of blue and two of brown.  You could make it any combination, or make a "stash buster" of all different colors.  It is simply 68 hexagons crocheted or sewn together.

4  Butterfly patch in Needlework: Completed Projects by lanfear33 on: October 29, 2009 01:52:13 PM
Here is a quick patch I made for my daughter who needed something to put on her back pack for school this year.  I made the chart using pro-stitch software and clip art from the internet.

5  10 years in the making in Needlework: Completed Projects by lanfear33 on: October 29, 2009 01:48:40 PM
I am so proud I finally finished this!  It is a Janlynn kit that I had forever--I worked on it on and off for 10 years and now it is finally done.  This picture is "pre-framed"

6  Yay Link hat... in Crochet: Completed Projects by lanfear33 on: January 04, 2009 07:10:47 PM
My daughter and step daughter both have a birthday coming up and what did they want?  Link hats...  This is a picture of the red version and I am finishing up the green one...

LOL...  I just realized that my daughter is wearing a "Corona Extra" t-shirt...  No, we don't allow underage drinking by our children.  We do however pass on old shirts that we don't wear anymore...   Wink
