1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Need Ideas for Dress for Wedding on THURSDAY!! 7-02 on: June 27, 2009 06:17:52 PM
Hey guys! I'm in such a bind. I need a dress to wear to a wedding on Thursday and I don't want to buy one. I am starting my own business and I would really like to stay focused and not spend any extra money. I have a slight addiction to retail therapy and once I'm in the mall it could get ugly hehe!

Anyway, my dilemma is, I have a wedding to go to this Thursday 7-02 and I need a dress I could sew in that little time that I have. Not to mention, I have a toddler so anything I can get done in a couple of nights while he is sleeping would be great. Any tutorials would be a great help. I have a degree in fashion but I'd still consider myself a novice sewer but I can get by enough to make a nice dress for this event. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!!

Thanks in advance!!  Grin

Hey, thanks that was very helpful but where I'm stuck at is the initial letter placement. Like, how should I go about putting the letter there so I can have a guide as to where I should put the rhinestones. Should I use a stencil and write the letters in with a pencil or something and then put the stones?
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Rhinestone hoodie for bride. Any tutorials? on: May 30, 2009 10:18:16 AM
Hey, everyone! My bff is getting married in about 2 months and for her bridal shower I would really like to custom make a sweatsuit for her to take on her honeymoon. She can wear it on the plane ride or just wear the hoodie when it gets chilly at night. I want it to say "Mrs...(her hubby's last name) and then est. and her wedding date"

I want to handset the stones myself because the hotfix script stones I've found are not cute at all and mostly come in all caps! I figure I would have to trace out the words on the hoodie and then set the stones. Does anyone have a clue where to start with this project?

Thanks in advance!!
