1  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Dragon Con '09 Image heavy on: September 19, 2009 08:44:15 PM
I am not really sure if this goes here,or if it is allowed because I DID NOT MAKE THE COSTUMES in these images. I did ask if i could take the pictures and the people were nice and were happy to show them off. I just wanted to post some appreciation photos for how hard they worked on these wonderful costumes.(ignore my friend in some of the pictures)

lots more where this came from, I just wanted to make sure i was allowed to post costumes i did not make

There is a "urban graffiti/ hip hop supply" store in downtown atl.
the owner's name is richard and he wants/ needs merchandise of the "Urban" kind.
i have resin necklaces and paintings and crochet bags there and he has a lot of events there and he sells on a consignment basis. its located in the old industrial west side on Marietta street. just thought i'd share.......
3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / store owner friend(help in atlanta) on: August 13, 2008 09:37:34 AM
i am in a bit of a sticky situation.

friend opened a graffiti/hip hop/urban boutique here in Atlanta. besides spray paint and soda only my crafts are selling. everything i have put in the store has sold.
(crochet wallets made out of plarn, resin jewelry, record bowls, and canvas)
the original agreement was he would get 20% of sales. and that was at my urging. he kept saying before the store was opened he would only take 10%. so we agreed on 20%(in writing). every time something sells he calls me and when i come to collect he short changes me. like something sold and he was like "it sold for $15 but 20% is $3, so can i just keep $5 and give u $10?" and I'm like, "we agreed on 20%"
then he goes. "but i sold it to a personal friend, she wouldn't have bought it if i didn't push it to her....." why does he think hes entitled to short change me? this has happened a few times and the problem is hes a friend of mine so its awkward.
he doesn't treat the other artist's this way!  what should i do? Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Help In Atlanta on: June 22, 2008 10:09:49 AM
I need help learning to crochet. i think i'd do best with a person instead of a book. if any one is in the atlanta area and has the time to sit at the park and/or a coffeeshop and teach little ole' me a thing or two that would be awesome.
i am about to be hospitalized in the late summer and i want to create/practice with the time i will have.

or if and one knows AN AFFORDABLE way to get lessions in atlanta let me know
