I also received from the very prolific bubbles - a Bunsen and Beaker ornament!  It's so perfect, I love it!  I might take it to work and make it just an all the time ornament.

So.......ummm.........my Secret Santa pointed out that I had not actually gotten the main thing out of the second package (!!!!!!!)  Luckily I still had what I thought was just the packaging out on the kitchen table, otherwise I would have felt TERRIBLE!  She also sent a Tree of Life necklace!

Thank you so much, and so sorry to give you a scare!  I'm going to blame the cold medicine - I've been stuffy and mind-foggy all week, but I'll make sure to be more diligent about thoroughly checking the packages! Shocked

Since other people were opening, I went ahead and caved and opened mine.

I got two lovely wrapped packages...

The first one was lovely yarn with a really interesting composition - there's soysilk and chitin in it!

I'm planning to make this shawl with it:

The second package was a tentacle ring!  (Sorry for the black and white, it was the only way I could get the tiny suckers to show up properly!)  I've already worn this the last few days, even though it's probably not strictly "work appropriate". Smiley

Thank you to both these Secret Santas!!

Sold to greybird - yellow yarn and fabric twine

Thanks for the claim!  I'm so glad that yarn is going to a good home - I love it, but have not for the life of me been able to figure out something to do with it.

If anybody else would be interested in fabric twine, let me know.  I keep the strips for it next to my couch and it's my TV-watching craft. Smiley

I know it's from last round, but I figured more people will still be looking at this thread.  I finally got pics of the awesome tie dyed stuff gingerpeachy sent me.

10  Re: 50 Projects More or Less...2017...Let's Create and Have Fun! in Craftalongs by fishstix43 on: July 09, 2017 05:47:48 AM
So between ACL surgery and work crises, its taken me this long to get back into posting.  I have been crafting, though, so Ive got quite a backlog.  I think Im going to fully update my list and then post pictures in sections (maybe by craft?).

First up are the amigurumi!  This is what I taught myself (with the help of books and a Craftsy class) while I was laid up for three weeks after my surgery.  Its been a long time since I started from scratch with a new craft, so it was very exciting to see my progress from the first little guy.

This is Swinub, a Pokemon requested by my BF.

The penguin and Earl N. Meyer got sent to two of my friends in grad school who are getting ready to defend soon.

This is a sleepytime doll that I made for my newest niece (born Feb 10).  I had already planned amis for her two older sisters (Peppa Pig and Doc McStuffins), but now that my sister has seen all the cool stuff you can make with crochet, shes already putting in orders for what I should make for their birthdays and Christmas. :p

I love all the cool projects, especially the Pokemon dice bags!  I feel like I'm seeing those bead chimes everywhere lately - what do you make the top part out of?
