So between ACL surgery and work crises, its taken me this long to get back into posting.  I have been crafting, though, so Ive got quite a backlog.  I think Im going to fully update my list and then post pictures in sections (maybe by craft?).

First up are the amigurumi!  This is what I taught myself (with the help of books and a Craftsy class) while I was laid up for three weeks after my surgery.  Its been a long time since I started from scratch with a new craft, so it was very exciting to see my progress from the first little guy.

This is Swinub, a Pokemon requested by my BF.

The penguin and Earl N. Meyer got sent to two of my friends in grad school who are getting ready to defend soon.

This is a sleepytime doll that I made for my newest niece (born Feb 10).  I had already planned amis for her two older sisters (Peppa Pig and Doc McStuffins), but now that my sister has seen all the cool stuff you can make with crochet, shes already putting in orders for what I should make for their birthdays and Christmas. :p

I love all the cool projects, especially the Pokemon dice bags!  I feel like I'm seeing those bead chimes everywhere lately - what do you make the top part out of?

La Chapa, I'm so glad you and your son liked it - I had a blast making it.  I'd been saving those fabric pieces for "the perfect thing", so I was very happy to find a good home for them!  Cheesy

I also have delayed pics from the supplies Mlsocci74 sent me

I haven't been home enough to play with them, but I know I will use the heck out of the glimmer mists, and I love the dreamcatcher washi tape!  I even cut up the box and kept the pieces to use in mixed media because that was adorable too.

Thanks so much!

Here's my goodies from snowyangel!

Thanks snowyangel!

Don't worry lachapa, I've got an idea for you as soon as I get approved for the next round.

I'm going to join in this craft along - I've recently discovered art journaling and am having an absolute ball with it.  Here are a few of my recent pages:

Thanks for putting this together - just googling techniques from this board is an education! I spent several hours yesterday making hot glue stencils and doing shaving cream marbling, and I totally got the gelatin to try a gelli plate.

So I've definitely been crafting, but it's all been art journaling!  I've definitely surpassed my original 10 page goal by a long shot.

I may have to figure out how exactly to count these moving forward, but at least I'm getting in the craft room.  This has definitely caused me to dig into some "deep stash" that hasn't seen the light of day for years and years.

I love that Firefly shirt!

I received my lovely package from JS!   It's a book from my Pinterest wish list and Pearl. N. Meyer, who is a scissors holder in awesome fabric.  On top of that, the "nose" and "arms" are actually a Pandora bracelet and Erlenmeyer charm!

Thanks JS! Cheesy

This is a terrible picture of it pinned on my dressform, all wrinkly after being taken to my sewing guild meeting, but it's proof that my first project for the year is done!  I made a test garment of Simplicity 2151.  I realized I didn't like the size of the collar and my next pattern will have an actual collar and stand, but I got a pretty good fit with the princess seams, so I can transfer that to the next one.

I also decided that for letting go, I'm going to go through all of my papercrafting stuff and get rid of all the cutesy scrapbook stuff, and only keep the stuff I might want to use in art journals.

I love the shaving stand, and the soft pretzels!

I'm going to jump in a little late.  According to my old signature, the last time I tried this was in 2014, and I made all of 2 projects.  (To be fair, that was towards the tail end of grad school - I have much more time for crafting now.)

Updated 7/9/2017

Completed:
(1)My first amigurumi (supposed to be a bear, but looks more like a monkey to me)

(2)Swinub ami

(3) Penguin ami and (4)Erlenmeyer flask ami

(5) Sleepytime doll for my niece

(6 - 10) Ten art journal pages (x5!)
(11) Lisette floral dress

(12) Simplicity 3596
(13) Floral maxi dress
(14) Mint green raglan
(15) Star wars backpack for OWS
(16) Stuff sorter for OWS

Hope to do:

Sewn:
Simplicity 2151 in gray and whale polka dots
Jacket express in brown corduroy
Steampunk skirt
Gambit coat muslin
Olive green military jacket
Jersey button up
Vogue 8766 - sky blue, boucle version
Sleeve board cover
Flannel button down shirt
Butler T-shirt quilt
Stretch goal: the two other t-shirt quilts we have shirts for, but one is better than I've done the last five years

Knitted:

"My First Socks"

Misc:
Latch hook heart rug

I've been living out of a hotel room this summer for an internship, but I've still managed to do a little sewing.

The most boring black skirt ever, but it's literally been worn every single weekend since I made it.

I made a sweater in July and I don't care.  It's super snuggly and I will wear it even though the hem band is all wonky.

I was a little afraid to wear this out, and then literally 7 or 8 people said they loved it just as I was walking down the street, which has never happened to me basically ever.

So much amazing crafty goodness on this board, I can't even process the amount of inspiration!

I finished something, it's from my list, and it qualifies for the challenge because it's purple!

It's made from Vogue 8670, and of course there's a bunch of extra ease (and I can tell I need an FBA from the drag lines in the picture), but it gives me a starting point to alter the pattern and I think this version is definitely wearable.
