1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / From the mind of Christine McConnell on: December 02, 2019 05:44:50 AM
I'm not sure where to post this... she is so talented in all sorts of areas. Has anyone watched her Halloween series on Netflix?

She has other videos on YouTube and they're great! This is her sewing one (lots of kitties Smiley). She's like a macabre Marth Stewart.

I recommend watching the one about her forest home.
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / I'm laying this project to rest. on: March 27, 2018 09:22:41 PM
I always prefer to do some highly challenging rather than easy. I bought this cross-stitch decades ago when they were the rage. Amazing artist. Beautiful cross-stitch. But hard as hell.

I've resurrected this project a couple of times over the years. I just spent an hour trying to do more. There are so few squares of the same colour that it's discouraging. And I think I'm off the pattern.

So today I think I will lay it to rest. Have that. But it's just too frustrating!

Ever have a project you've had to let go of before completion?

4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Grinchmas bunting on: November 29, 2017 09:07:13 PM
I made this bunting. I was going to make a nice Christmas one for myself but couldn't resist making one with this Grinch fabric. Three more to make. Two will be blue.

I did it at one of those ceramic paint shops. Nothing fancy, just glazed.
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / gir and squidward on: March 04, 2017 07:33:46 PM
HI all,

Always thought Gir belonged on a plate. Preferably with waffles. I painted this once night while out.hapoy with the result. Couple of blemishes.

And so started the idea for a wall of our favourite characters. So for my bf, I did a grumpy squidward.

Son is asking for lego batman and Robin.

Not sure what else will come along. Count duckula? Tiny toons? We'll see.

Hope you enjoy!

Very nice! Where do you find the pattern for that?

Its Amy Butler's Birdie Sling

Love it!
10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Tina Givens birdie sling on: May 10, 2016 09:01:30 PM
Finally made myself a new bag. Love the birdie sling pattern. I have three more in the works.

I modify a few things (zipper pocket, carabinger hook on paracord which is awesome for finding keys, magnetic snap). And for this one, I've added a vinyl reinforced handle since that is where they wear the most.

I'm chuffed with it. Wouldn't normally carry pink but I so adore Tina Givens fabric. I think she does gorgeous work!

Thanks for checking it out!
