So my swap angel Eliea came through and I got my package today and it is... *pause*.... AWESOME!
Ok pics. lots and lots of pics.

I got this nifty neat yard holder to protect my yarn (I am a knitter) from evil little ferrits (pronounced at my house as fur-its, yes I know its spelled ferret)

But will also help protect my yarn from naughty little rescue dogs too

and a peice work ferrit tube!  My ferts love tubes.  and its washable, which is good since I give it 4 hours before Fret drags it into a potty box!

and two cuddle hammocks, one fuzzy lined and one not.  I put the non fuzzy one in the cage already, and the Pinky is sleeping in it already!

Awesome freezer paper t-shirt

Eliea thinks the freezer paper bled, I think it looks stylized.  What ferrit has crisp lines anyway? Love it.

Close up of the stencil

Ferrit stitch markers! Cant wait to use them!

Ferrit book thong.  So cute and perfect because I am OCD about books and bookmarks.  no creased bindngs, pages, bumps etc.  yeah I am odd.

Action shots!
Mea Snug in the cuddle hammock

Pinky and Mea Snug checking out the tube!

And the book thong already in use.

Can you tell I am excited?
No these pics were not taken using the canon rebel, I am still learning that.  I used my Kodak easy share which I had to smack at least 4 times to get these pictures done.

So I am posting the items I made and sent.  Not the best pictures since I was rushing to get them out the door and sent.  I almost forgot to even take pics!
So anyway, my partner wanted earthy tones, and I made items for Degus and a possible hamster.
So onward to items.

This is a super soft cuddle blanket for a cage bottom.  Made with the softest terry cloth I could find!

Okay, not really sure what to call this one, ummm a knitted cuddle cup?  again made in mind for either critters to use and cuddle up in.  My first attempt at felting too.

knitted and felted play tube/sleep tube.

Degu's are supposed to like wood, so I made this hanging toy they could chew on, or climb on, or what ever makes their little hearts happy.

A few quick shots of my little ferts.

That is Fret and Mea Snug sleeping in an extra litter box.  He spent too much time in a pet store aquarium and now prefers to sleep in his litter box since he was not properly provided a sleep area and litter area.

This is the Pinky aka The Pink One, or The Evil One.  She is just devious, should have named her Brain and not Pinky!

and Mea Snug, means fat animal butt.  She spent her first two years locked in a cage and was super fat when I got her.  The shelter thought she was too skinny! and was feeding her an inch of ferrivite twice a day!  She is the sweat good one we now mostly call her Snuggy Bug.

All three little monsters.

6  Reception outfit in Weddings and Bridal Showers by PuppyHero on: July 28, 2009 08:27:09 PM
So everyone tells me "You just HAVE to dress Cailin up for the reeption"  After much looking around I said to myself "Self make something!"  and so I did.  Now I who cannot make decisions (not very helpful when planning a wedding) need to decide which tutu Cai should wear.....

Long or short?

and FYI anything I do to this dog she thinks is gold.  The short tutu pics she is just still ill so she is not all smiles.

Please help me decide.  Asking the "fiendance"  is like asking a brick wall for an opinion.....

7  Wedding roses in Weddings and Bridal Showers by PuppyHero on: March 09, 2009 07:11:40 PM
I am getting married this fall, for the reception and my bouquet I want to make all my own flowers.  I have never really been one fore real flowers, they die.  And I am not so hot on everything being 1 or 2 colors.  The main color is going to be red, but the other color is "fall" thus anything I think looks fall is good enough.  Also the semi theme is going to be crafted flowers.
I made these ribbon roses, 8 down oh 100 more to go.  I also want to make coffee filter roses too.
Oh yeah, I got all the ribbon on clearance too!  YAY clearance flowers.

Anyone have some ideas for other roses/flowers I can make? I want the shape realistic, not necessarily the colors.

8  Anime Cheese Cake in Dessert by PuppyHero on: February 12, 2009 08:37:21 PM
I made this cheese cake for Valentines day for the boyfriend.  we decided it looks like something out of an anime!  So we are calling it the anime cheese cake.  Its not baked its um, melted?   I got the recipe off a bag of strawberry marshmallows!  But I did make the fondant I used to decorate with, and colored it with food coloring.  The chocolate strawberries are more marshmallows sliced diagonally in half and dipped in chocolate.   Since I had tons of fondant left I made cupcakes for work tomorrow, the girls are going to kill me!
I am please with the outcome being this is the first time I have even worked with/made fondant and I don't bake.  Only broke one dish doing all this too.  YAY!

9  Living in 700 square feet. in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by PuppyHero on: January 12, 2009 08:22:19 PM
For my birthday I got to turn my dinning/craft room into a craft/dinning room.  I feel like I live in a Ikea showroom now!  Basically I have a very small apartment roughly 700 Sq ft.  and I like to craft and my boyfriend likes to play his computer.   So we redid the dinning area so that we can both use it.  Plus we needed more book room, our book shelves were overloaded!

The before:

The during:

The after:

we got a room dividing double sided book shelf with a desk that attaches.  the sewing machine fits wonderfully into one of the shelf units and slides right onto the desk.  I have 4 clear craft storage drawers and two sets of small drawers for little things.  The piece on the right is a fold down birch table, it has two leaves that swing out to sit 4 + people.

just to show where I moved the Bean (turtle).  I plan on making a skirt to fit around the desk we have her tank on too.

The crafting side of the shelving unit.  I even have my great grandmothers knitting needles out in a pot.

The boyfriends area.  I really need to figure something out with the garbage can though, its a sore thumb right now!

a side of the table up.  It will work great for extra crafting space for big projects, and when I am cooking in my tiny kitchen for extra cooking prep space too.  There is room to move the table on the other side of the book case towards the living room if needed for dinner guests.   Just in case we don't want to sit on the couches?

a view of the table again, with a crafty picture of my pup too.

I figured anyone who has limited space might get a kick out of the new "crafting cubby"  as the boyfriend calls it.

10  Christmas Mice and Larry in Dessert by PuppyHero on: December 16, 2008 10:15:56 PM
I made these for practice before making the ones to give away.  And I found it amusing to put some "sprinkles" in the dish.  I plan on taking them to class tomorrow, I am in a Veterinary Tech. program they will get a kick out of it.

And I cant forget Sad Larry the  mouse.  I don't think I can let Larry be eaten now, he's just so sad.
