1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Problem making dressform--Please advise on: July 27, 2008 08:46:50 PM
I found several ideas for making a dressform on this site.  I decided to use the one using brown kraft tape that you wet with a sponge.  I used a garbage bag as the base layer.  I got the tape at staples and precut the strips to make it go faster.  My husband wrapped me up.  As we worked the edges of the tape started curling up.  The problem started pretty quickly and just got worse.   By the time we got several layers done it began to look like I was attacked by a weed whacker.  This morning when we got up there was a huge puddle of glue on the floor under the form.  We cant figure this out.  It looked like everyone else's form turned out much much smoother.  If you can help me I would sure appreciate it!
