21  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / pot holder on: February 18, 2009 12:07:13 PM
just finished this yesterday. i've been needing new pot holders for awhile cause mine are really worn out. and i couldn't really find any i liked, so i decided to make one. i took apart one of my old ones and used the heat resistant fabric inside for the new one. i just used fabric i already had so i didn't have to buy anything. Smiley its all hand sewn, and the i just used back stitch and satin stitch for the eyes.  i got the pattern on flickr. its an illustration by jacque davis.

thanks for looking. Smiley
22  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / kitty hand towel on: January 30, 2009 08:57:37 AM
i know you guys are probably tired of seeing hello kitty stuff from me.lol. but shes sooo cute! i think after this i might make a few more things with her, and then i'll be done. anyway, i made this yesterday for a friend of mine.  i'm not sure i'm happy with the color blue i chose for it. maybe i should have used a lighter color. but i'm not sure i wanna re do the whole thing cause that material was kinda hard to stitch on.what do you guys think?

23  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / shopping bag on: January 26, 2009 04:15:11 PM
i just finished this today. i've kinda been procrastinating on it . i found the pattern for from a coloring page i found online. i thought the picture of hello kitty with her shopping bags would look great on a tote bag.i just used satin stitch and back stitch for this. i gave it to my daughter, because the whole time i was making it she was like, "that's mine". haha. that's why i made her hat and dress yellow with yellow polka dots, because yellow is her favorite color. sorry about the wrinkles, i couldn't get them to come out.

thanks for looking. Smiley

i haven't posted anything on here in a while. my daughter has been going through this thing where she wants me to read a book to her like, 20 times a day. and that's cool, but it hasn't left me much time to craft.lol. but i finally got to work on this yesterday, and finished it this morning. i like the way it turned out. i don't know why i like silhouettes so much. lol. i hope you can tell that it's alice.
