11  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / coraline doll on: January 04, 2010 09:07:30 AM
my daughter has been asking for a while for me to make her this. i got the felt yesterday ,and worked on and finished the body last night. and i made her clothes today. they are all sewn on and aren't removable, i didn't want my daughter to lose her clothes. Smiley i just used back stitch and satin stitch for the eyes and face, and french knots for her freckles. and the doll and her clothes are all hand sewn. i tried free handing a dragonfly in her hair, but it looked really bad so i took it out and just put that flower button in her hair.

the back

close up of face.

thanks for looking. Smiley

14  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / granny square scarf on: July 27, 2009 09:53:14 AM
i finally figured out how to make granny squares! i don't know why, but mine always tuned out looking like circles in stead of squares. i don't think i have the patience yet to make a blanket, so i started with a scarf. it has 15 squares in it. i don't usually like making odd numbered things, but it seemed long enough.

18  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / strawberry shortcake on: May 05, 2009 06:04:45 PM
made this a few days ago. just used some scrap fabric out of the discount bin at wal-mart. it was pretty much all they had left since they are being lames and getting rid of their fabric section. anyway, this is going to be made into a pillow for my daughter as soon as i get some poly-fill. Smiley i got the image from a coloring book. i just used back stitch and satin stitch.

19  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / hello kitty shirt on: March 28, 2009 11:54:54 AM
i haven't posted anything on here in a while. i actually started this a few weeks ago, and just did the bow. but yesterday i finished the whole thing. nothing fancy, just back stitch and satin stitch.

the best action shot i could get. she was running around everywhere after she put that shirt on.lol. she really likes it a lot, mostly i think cause hello kitty has a camera, and mika loves taking pictures. Smiley
