5  COOKING / Dessert / my attepmt at the rainbow cake on: February 09, 2011 06:36:33 AM
i know you've seen it before, but i've been wanting to try this for a while. i've made the rainbow cupcakes before, but not the cake. it was pretty simple, just split the batter into six bowls and bake one color at a time, the layers were thin, so i didn't know if it would look ok, but i think it turned out nice. Smiley

this was before i iced the whole cake. it looks like a stack of rainbow pancakes . Smiley

the inside

thanks for looking. Smiley

Here's an interesting question....

well, I guess its not a question really...

Where I work, I have noticed zombie cross stitches showing up on a bulletin board outside my office in the hall.  Its on the health and safety board.  The first one was "zombies only like you for your brains".  Then the above one showed up in place of the first about a month later.  I think its funny.  Tonight I decided to check craftster "just in case" I could see who might have made it.

Any connection?  I'm in Ottawa if that helps.  Won't say where I work.  But if there is a connection it will be obvious!

it's just a coincidence.  i live in tallahasssee fl. Smiley but that is pretty awesome.

I'm thinking your brother is the one posting them on the board!!  Too funny.
