22  Re: Witch/Wicca/Pagan Swap Round 12! (flake free and finished! 3 in a row!) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by LunaKitten on: May 06, 2009 07:37:35 AM
Oh, I wanted to share with you guys. I remember we were talking about cutting your kids hair for the first time way back when. Wellllll... Daddy decided to try and trim my little imp's hair (It was just WAYYY too much. So cute, but hot and in his eyes.) and he ended up looking like a crazed monk by the time Daddy was done. So GRAMA to the rescue! She took us down to the hair dressers, and since it was so butchered we had to get it a lot shorter than what I wanted. But, I think it does look cute when it is spiked. It does make him look A LOT older though. *Sniffles* No more Mommies baby. Here's Mommies little man:

28  Mother Goddess Nature Offering Bowl/ tea light holder (Pic CHUBBY!) in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by LunaKitten on: April 23, 2009 06:24:12 PM
I did this for a recent swap, and can't wait to make one for myself! I am so pleased with how she turned out. I was inspired by a tree stump hehehe. I've seen others like her, but I have to say I like how I did mine with the shimmer Smiley (Not that I'm bragging LOL, I'm just so proud of her!!) She is hand sculpted from the super sculpy,  (the kind that comes in the box that is flesh colored), over a tinfoil base. Then hand painted with acrylics and glazed over with a satin glaze. I used some bronzing fluid in with the paint, to give her a healthy earthy type shimmer. She is about 6 inches high, and about 4 inches wide. Excuse all the pictures Smiley I got a bit crazy.

29  Another Kwan Yin Watercolor Portrait in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by LunaKitten on: April 23, 2009 06:13:40 PM
Here is another one of my interpretations of the Goddess of Compassion, Kwan Yin. She is rendered in watercolors, with the metallic pigments for accents. I wish I had gotten a better picture of her, I was pleased with the way she turned out. C&C are welcome!! Smiley

30  Crafty Goddess Spoon Wand in Completed Projects by LunaKitten on: April 23, 2009 06:01:59 PM
I did this for a recent swap. I have loved all the spoon wands that I have seen on here, and it inspired this one! It's for all those projects that you get stuck on. Or for the times that you have no inspiration for a new project. I know that we have all suffered bouts of these blocks...  well this is the cure!! Simply take it, do a special dance, wave the wand, and inspiration should come! (You may have to repeat this a couple of times, and a nice glass of wine is recommended as help hehehe) I bought the spoon at our local Ben Franklins. It was already "Blackened" in the spoon part to make it look old. I do not believe it is actually wood. I think it is made out of a poured resin. So, I started with that, used acrylics to paint the tribal Goddess on the spoon part, then put a clear glaze over top to keep it from chipping. Then I gathered up some scraps of yarn and ribbon from one of my Rapunzel scarfs and tied them around. I added some purple beads, and some silver star beads to random strands. After that, I did a little decorative wire wrapping at the base... and voila! The answer to our artistic blocks!! Hope you enjoy, C&C are always welcome!! Smiley
