I thought it was a hat from the thumbnail.
I really like it! I love digging through button stashes and finding new lovely things to do with them.

That's a beautiful costume!
She's going to remember it forever too, I remember every costume my mother ever made for me.
15  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Newly painted rooms - and my haunted redrum bathroom nightmare! on: September 19, 2008 06:05:51 AM
Red is such a trick colour to paint a room.
I don't think there's much you can do about the pealed paint now except to touch it up...and you'll have the same 'redrum' problem it will take forever to try to get the touch-up spot to match the rest of the walls. Our hallway is almost the same red and there are spots where we didn't even want to try touching up because we knew it would show(we covered them with things like paintings and those weird weather things grandma has).
You could put up some type of boarder, I saw a red room with a solid white painted boarder around the top in a BBC good homes mag once it looked really cool. it tricked your eye making the plain room look like is has architectural interest.
Good luck!
ps I love the green room

Aw I just realized that you commented on my OP about my ringmaster costume. and you've already used that pattern. Well... I feel silly now.

I love the twisted circus idea...aside from my fear of clowns.
I was actually thinking of going as a ring master this year but my machine is being all wonky so instead of getting it fixed I'm opting for a less machine intense costume.
Any who I got a really good pattern it's pretty simple to follow, not a leotard, and it's not slutty which is a bonus as far as I'm concerned.
It's simplicity 3685
The sleeves are kinda weird but easy to change. The length of the skirt is also super easy to change too. AND you can find all sorts of cool fabric to make it out of, I found some crazy shiny silver fabric for the lining...maybe I'll get to use it next halloween hopefully I'll have gotten my machine fixed by then.
I'm kind of jealous.

What if you just got the black body suit and fashioned a halter top out of an old white button down shirt.
So cut the sleeves and back out and use the collar as the halter bit.
like this one:
or a more simple style:
And you could wear the halter over the body suit.
I hope that makes sense.

Heidi and Spencer
Britney and her dad(dad should hold a court order in his hand showing he's the boss of her life)
Tom and Katie
Posh and Becks
Brad and Angelina(she'd obv have to be crazy pregnant and in a formal gown)
Nicole Richie and What's-his-face band-guy
you could go as a vintage couple like
Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley
Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire
Yoko Ono and John Lennon
