I have the same french taps!!!
We have some on our bath tub as well.
The Rhona on Merivale had both the english and french versions...we are a completely english-speaking family, we just thought french taps were way classy.
Your apartment is lovely.

I absolutely LOVE the yellow ones!!!

haha too cute!
I don't think spirit gum is toxic...but I know it gives some people rashes so I dunno if I'd trust it on a baby's super sensitive skin.
I think the marshmallow idea might result in a sticky mess.
Why not just use facepaint? White with black outline and possibly some swirls  to give it 'texture'.
Good luck! It's a great costume idea!!!

Perhaps a hook in the wig
I know you can get the leggings at american apparel but I think they're like $50 and I dunno if they'd fit a dude.
also a bottle of Baileys is necessary.

You should get a big honking fake diamond ring...I mean ridiculously big so the wife bit is highlighted. You could also do a long formal gown and at the bottom add a thick-ish(maybe a 12') black band with a gold plaque on it that says 'trophy wife' or just 'wife' or 'best wife' that way you're the trophy and you don't have to carry something around all night.
Also lots of makeup, fake nails, possibly even an orange 'tan'.

Those are fantastic!
7  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Need Help...for Corpse Bride on: October 08, 2008 04:51:54 AM
You could rent the movie and just pause...I don't think it's likely you'll find a screencap of the back of the brides head.
If you don't want to go rent it I'm sure it's online somewhere...kind of unethical but whatever...
Hope that helped

I am so amazed. Bowie is my favourite!
I think it looks great with no sleeves. I also think it would look good with sleeves but if it's going to be too finicky(as sleeves usually are) I would just leave it as is.
That way you'll also have less of your body covered in lame and be less sweaty, sweaty under your costume is the absolute worst.
9  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Crown!? Help! on: October 02, 2008 08:27:26 PM
Well in the Disney Alice She has a mini crown...well it was mini compared to the rest of her I guess. but if you wanted to do that you could maybe use stiff craft felt, I'm pretty sure they make glittery ones as well as just regular. So cut out a basic crown(an MMMM shape) maybe you could even make the points longer so they curl a bit. Glue/sew the ends together and attach bobby pins, one on each side should be enough and you have a mini crown.

That dresser is beautiful. I love that style of furniture.
I wish I had room in my room for a huge dresser like that...because I could deff fill it!
Does your mom like it now?
