41  What to do to a too-big shirt? in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by TheDishclothQueen on: December 17, 2005 03:31:42 PM
A couple years ago, I bought this tshirt (the pic isn't mine, but it's the same shirt):

It was a bit too big for me when I got it, and I've lost 50 lbs., so you can imagine how much too big for me it is now  Grin

I want to save this shirt.  He's not with the Twins anymore (first traded to the Red Sox, then the Mets, now the Royals), but I love him anyway (okay, I mainly think he's very attractive, but he's a good player, too!).

Any ideas of what to do to the shirt?  I'm open to funky ideas; in fact, I invite them.  I toyed with the idea of taking the shirt a part and cutting the size down, but do ya see how long his name is (Mientkiewicz)?  It takes up most of the back, and I'm not sure that I could cut out that much.

Any brilliant thoughts?

Oh...in case you were wondering, StarFire (or anyone else), the random some "Pass it On" isn't so random.  It's from the Muppet Family Christmas--one of my favorite Christmas shows of all time.  Please tell me someone else remembers it!

44  Anyone know of a pattern like this? in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by TheDishclothQueen on: November 14, 2005 12:57:09 PM
Okay, I've been looking for these off and on, and have only been marginally successful.  Nothing is exactly like what I want.

I want to make some bumming around the house-but I still kinda match and could theoretically go out in public clothing.

I want yoga pants kinda like these http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M4664.htm?tab=family_sleepwear_maternity&page=2 , but not as high waisted; I'd rather they sit on my hips.

And I want a hoodie that's kinda this style:

So... any ideas off hand?
