The inspiration

On a very slow and boring day at work, I was searching etsy and found a listing (above picture) that gave me an idea. I searched google and found two different templates so I decided to give it a try:

My 2 different versions:

Blog I found the templates at:

*above picture of etsy listing is courtesy of "CharonelDesigns" at etsy...of whom I do not know, never met, nor have purchased anything from, but merely admired the work.
2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Silk Spectre II Home-made Costume on: October 13, 2009 03:08:40 PM
I recently got invited to a Super heroes and Villains birthday party. I decided last minute that I was going so this costume took me 6 hours to make. It cost roughly $20 and was made out of 2 shirts I found at a second hand store. Action pictures are on it's way (from a friend's camera). This is of the costume on my dress form, without the accessories of course (ie: gloves & boots AND fake bangs that clipped on).

3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / New At Sewing - Advice on First Purse Projects on: August 09, 2008 02:49:44 PM
I'm new to sewing. One day I decided I was going to return a $90 dollar webcam I bought to use for when my boyfriend moved to Texas in the beginning of April. I figured until I was ready to move out there to be with him I would use it to talk to him. I never used it, so I traded it in for a new sewing machine and 2 months later, the webcam and the boyfriend are gone (good riddance!! Angry) and now I have this niffty sewing machine, a more than fair trade off I think!

I had an idea to make purses and maybe sell them. Let me know how you all like my little creations. Please keep in mind I'm still new. I've never taken classes so I'm not as advanced and thoughtful in my sewing as most of you are.

Also, seeing as I'm a bit new and have been lurking on Craftser and hardly posting...I can only post links for now. Sorry!  Sad

Thanks for looking!!

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Where to purchase Swallow, Nautical, Skulls and Kunckleduster Charms!?!?! on: July 18, 2008 01:58:27 PM
I'm getting really into making jewelry with Rockabilly, pin up, hot rod, and nautical themes. I've been desperately trying to find charms of swallows, knuckle dusters and anything else that pertains to these themes, but I've been very unsuccessful. Does anyone know of any companies that sells such charms in bulk?
