I use this kind of presser foot: http://www.amazon.com/Distinctive-Non-Stick-Teflon-Machine-Presser/dp/B00326993S

Also you are supposed to used Teflon presser sheets (they talk about it here http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview/id/243002.html), but I use the trick of adding some moisturizing cream to the fabric (that works perfectly!) Smiley

Thanks amarok ^^ Yes, I bought the corset in http://shoptwowizards.com, it's great, but I did not have a really matching skirt!

You should try making your skirt Smiley I've never had one like this before, and it's really comfortable! I'm also thinking about making a bag with vinyl, but I have a lot of doubts about the consistency, as vinyl is quite thin... Maybe with a combination of hard canvas it will work fine.

Let us see your skirt when you make it Cheesy

Thanks for your comments! Smiley

Sewing vinyl is not as hard as it may seem, and the fabric is the easiest to cut! For sewing, I add a little bit of normal moisturizing cream on to the sewing line part, so it does not stick to other parts of the fabric or to the sewing machine. I also use an special presser foot for this kind of sticky fabrics ^^

I think I'll make another one in black soon Smiley

I attended to a fetish party some weeks ago, and I decided to make a vinyl skirt matching a red and black corset I have. This is the second skirt I make, so I was afraid that the result was not going to be wearable, but I finally manage to make it quite good ^^

I tried to put a hidden zipper, but I could not make it perfectly, so yo can see the black zipper there...

Here you have a couple of photos. Thanks for looking!!

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Zebra buttercup bag on: October 02, 2010 10:56:59 AM
I made this yesterday, using the buttercup pattern (http://www.made-by-rae.com/2009/02/free-buttercup-bag-sewing-pattern.html), and adding a zipper. This is my first bag with a zipper to close the entire bag, so as it is not perfect, I'm really proud of it Cheesy

Hope you like it. Thanks for looking!
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Tutorial: dead cat bag on: October 02, 2010 10:49:17 AM
I had this post bookmarked, waiting for some free time to make my own dead cat bag... And I finally did it!

I used fur for it, and I split the body pieces in 2, so the direction of the fur is from the back to the belly in both sides. I also made a kind of collar, and my cat's eyes are 2 crosses of felt. As my zipper was really small and was kind of hidden inside de fur, I also added a little chain with a heart to make it easy to open. Hope you like it.

Thank you very much for the tutorial! Cheesy

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Vinyl cushions for my new sofa! ^^ on: September 09, 2010 01:56:31 PM
I bought the buckles (they sell them for making bags, shoes, etc.), I sew the stripes of vinyl and added the eyelets with special pliers I found in a hardware store. It was quite difficult to sew that part, as these pieces of vinyl are quite small, but the result deserves all the work Smiley

Really great work for your first bag! Maybe I try that pattern too ^^

Thank you for your comments!! ^^

I know vinyl is not useful at all if we talk about cushions... but they are made just for decoration. And I love vinyl! Tongue Anyway, the one that it's covered by the net is actually quite comfortable, as you do not feel it as sticky as it seems Smiley

I'm in love with that purse! I wish I could find fabrics like that in my city! They just have boring traditional fabrics: no spider nets, no skulls... no fun!! Anyway, I also like the shape of the bag, it looks really useful for carrying everything Smiley Great work!!

I get a lot of stuff online but it sucks to pay shipping!
Maybe you could find a hobby lobby or some other fabric store outside of your city and make the drive every now and again for cool fabrics! We don't have a joanns here but there is on in New Orleans (an hour drive) so i make the drive every now and again to get some awesome fabrics. The gas probably ends up costing as much a shipping though, heheh

I'm afraid it's going to be difficult for me to get to that places... I live in Spain, yes, at the old Europe Tongue I live in Madrid, the capital, but I can assure you that I've visited lots of fabric shops here and they just have the same fabrics. I'm looking forward to find one of those with this kind of tattoo drawings... but it seems impossible!!!

Anyway, if you know a cool on-line shop that sells for other countries it would be nice to check it. Smiley Thanks!!
