3  Stained Glass Birdie in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by Christinemichelle on: June 04, 2008 04:40:54 PM

He was kind of hard to photograph since I havent hung him up yet, but I'm pretty proud of him since he's my first stained glass project! I'm going to make him some brothers and sisters and hang my little flock up in my dorm room window this fall : )

The blue of his wing is textured, it almost looks like little feathers, I love it. I cant wait to try some different colour combinations!

Rostitchery- Thank you so much! I absolutely love the fabric I made it out of, I have another dress dealy made from it, and I still have a little bit left! Smiley Thanks for the advice about the elastic, I'll definitely do that!

Darksidevegan - I don't know if non-stretchy would work... I mean, you could still make it of course, but you'd need to make sure to put elastic in the band so that it will go on and off. It might work, but it would be more difficult to wear it certain ways or get it to wrap the way you want all the time. If you've got some fabric with nothing to be, there's no real harm in trying? I'd love to see if it would turn out.

Thank you!! My tails are probably about 70 or 80 inches long? I wanted longer, but I ran out of fabric. I think the length I have works well though. It says Tricot (thats what it looks like, its handwritten) Polyester on the tag. It's slightly stretchy.
I'll try and figure out that way of wrapping it. I think the tails look small just because they're a bit twisted, and from tying them.

I think I've found about 10 ways to wear it so far!
This one is definitely one of my favourites

Alright, so I made one! I already had a circle skirt done (which I more often wore as a top, but that's beside the pont) with a thick band on the top, and I had just enough of the fabric left to make the straps/ties/whatever. So I made them and attached them, and I love it! I need to take the skirt part in, now that it's not resting on my hips it's too big. I guess I should hem the straps too, but I'm too excited about showing it off to wait!

I have pictures of me wearing it three different ways, but I apologize for the blurriness and all since I had a difficult time taking pictures of myself.

3) front

I absolutely adore this dress!
I can't wait to get some more plain/solid fabric to make another one six Cheesy
