Cute outfit!  I'm really amazed that everything is plastic bags - I assumed it was cotton from the thumbnail. Great job  Cheesy

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Bachelorette Pins on: June 29, 2011 07:02:58 PM
Hello, I havent posted on craftster in forever and i think this might be my first jewelry post . . . .

My totally awesome friend is getting married, and the maid of honor, another totally awesome friend, commissioned me to make these pins for the bridesmaids to commemorate our fabulous bachelorette weekend in las vegas. Her initial is a B, so i made a heart shaped B with a red swarovski crystal because red is her favorite color.

I was really pleased with how they came out - it took two days (literally right before i promised they would be finished) and I spent about $25 for the materials

thanks for looking! c& c welcome

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / addiction to sleeves (many pics) on: March 07, 2011 10:21:18 AM
i actually have a sleeve phobia as well as an addiction.  for awhile i only made sleeveless tops, but sleeves are kind of nice on those cooler days so i forced myself to make sleeved tops and i've been trying to do something a little different each time.

this one involves sewing, knit (neckline), and crochet (sleeve attachment)
there are parts from about 5 different tshirts in this top, the knitting and crochet was done with tshirt yarn

this one is made with 2 mens xl tshirts. was quick and fun to put together.

this one i made a while ago and use it as a pajama top, hence the wrinkles.  it was an old sweatshirt i had that had gotten too short so i gave it a major overhaul: raglan sleeves, 3/4 length sleeves, slight cowl/mock turtleneck

thanks for looking!

i think it looks great on you! i love the way it drapes in the back. i think it could also look good with a white or bright colored tank underneath
