These are lovely.
I have a pile of pom-poms just the same size that I picked up cheap with that "these might come in handy" attitude.  They never did, until now.
It's such a simple idea but really effective.
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Gorgeous Super Soft Fancy Scarf on: October 12, 2010 08:26:24 AM
That's really beautiful, and thanks for the link to the pattern.  I'm forever buying cones of thin stuff in charity shops then leaving them to fester, it's given me some ideas.
Also full props to your model, with a t-shirt like that you can dress him in anything and he'd still be uber cool.

It's fantastic.
I love all the details, but especially the birds.
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Granny square based slippers: a long process on: June 22, 2010 01:57:58 AM
These are gorgeous.  I keep coming back to them during the day, so tasteful.
If you come up with a pattern, I'd gladly pay a few coins for your research and development time.

5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: UK Craftseter Swap on: April 05, 2010 02:16:55 PM

At last a UK swap.  It's bringing us all out of the woodwork now isn't it?
I'm in the same boat as everyone else, always crafting and lurking, never stop to take a pic and post it.
Maybe it's a national trait  Wink

Anyways, I'm in the ever-sunny Manchester and would be interested in a moderate swap.  Nothing overboard you understand, can't go getting excited.  It wouldn't be cricket.
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Case For My Pipe (warning: mature (?) and pic heavy) on: March 08, 2010 01:58:52 PM
Wow, that looks delicate, no wonder you knit a case for it.  It seems to fit perfectly, did you draft out some kind of pattern or did you just wing it and see how it fell?

That is pretty sweet.  It has the best of both worlds.

Keep making up patterns, if this first one is anything to go by, you've got a thing for it!

Ha! Love it!  You are truly touched by his noodly appendage.

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Afghan for my mummy! on: July 13, 2009 05:19:24 PM
That is beeeeeutiful.
Your work is neat, consistent and very evenly finished at the sides.  Keep going, it will mean so much to your mum when she gets it.  It's a lovely piece.
