1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: No-crochet Brain Slug with pattern (with apologies to losingstreak) on: October 06, 2010 12:36:30 PM
I love it! Thanks for the tute, too! And I'm with kerri_mac, I'm planning on making one to wear while giving out Halloween candy this year... and possibly watching Futurama marathons.  Wink
2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: A small selection of my friends Sharpie tattoos on: January 15, 2010 11:52:05 AM
Wow! Tell your friend that her work is absolutely gorgeous! I could never commit to a real tattoo, but she could draw on my arm any day of the week! And for goodness' sake, get her on Craftster! I'd love to see more of her work.  Smiley

6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Say No to (scary) drugs x-stitch on: October 03, 2009 01:51:26 PM
Great job! I really like this project!

It's a good reminder to people to be mindful of what we put in our bodies. Abilify has helped a lot of people, and it's definitely something to take if you need it (and I would even venture to say that when a doc prescribes it to someone, it's most likely necessary). It's important to think about these things though, considering we're one of the few countries that can advertise prescription drugs, and the amount of unnecessary things prescribed here (especially antibiotics!) is staggering.

Good on you on finding another doctor too. I've learned (coming from a family with a smorgasbord of health issues Tongue) the most important thing about being a patient is being your own advocate!
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Sighthound Martingale Collars on: May 23, 2009 07:03:31 PM
So pretty! Fitting collars for borzois, those are gorgeous dogs! Did you find a pattern online or make your own? I have a couple narrow-headed-and-wide-necked canine friends (including a former foster) who use martingale collars, and I've wanted to make some for gifts, but I've had a hard time finding patterns.
8  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Tom Servo on: April 28, 2009 05:50:49 PM
This is awesome!!! I'd love to have a little Servo to watch bad horror movies with, your brother is one lucky guy!
9  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Pulp Fiction's Vincent Vega & Jules Winnfeild on: April 01, 2009 04:44:46 PM
I love them! And they DO look just like the originals! Great job piecing them together from the patterns, very creative!
10  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: The Adventures of Pete & Pete Quilt (Img Heavy) on: March 28, 2009 02:10:57 PM
WOW! This brings me back! You did a great job with the quilt, and you picked some of the BEST things to put on it (I love the "I am a dot." and Petunia squares!). This rocks!
