Ooh, that's really pretty. I love the color palette you chose for this. I've been sort of thinking of making a cover for my sewing machine even though it came with a hard one, simply because I want it to be prettier. This is definitely inspiring.

You could link to her dA page where the pattern is posted if you really wanted to share it. Are you planning on making any more of the Koroks?

That's really awesome. Makar was one of my favorite characters in any of the Zelda games and your little plush is adorable. Are you sure it's okay with the pattern creator to repost it here, though? Most people don't really like when people do that, in my experience.
144  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Adventure Time with Finn and Jake Swap? on: September 03, 2011 12:20:59 AM
I'm so excited I could die. Cake's voice makes me cackle every time.
145  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: 2011 Costume-Along on: September 01, 2011 09:19:24 PM
I don't really dress up for Halloween anymore (because I never have any place to go and we don't get many trick-or-treaters here) but I am making my 4 year old niece's costume. She wants to be a mermaid. It's not as big or complicated as any of the ones posted here, but I'm getting pretty excited. I found a pattern that I think I can modify to suit my vision and I'm going to buy fabric tomorrow. Lots of shiny stuff, and iridescence. I just hope I can figure out how to actually sew what I want. And even before I get the costume started, I'm already thinking of a matching bag for her candy. Can't decide between pretty seashell or open-mouthed fish. And the accessories! Seaweed boa made from tulle! Pearl fascinator with clip on purple hair extensions! Oh the possibilities. Considering it's only my second garment (the first being her fairy costume from last year) this is going to be a real challenge. We'll see how many of my ideas actually get executed and how well.

Woah, that's...REALLY cool. Rainbows make the best art and this is such a cool way to display it. Really impressive.
147  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Link from Zelda Hat and Mittens set - featured in NINTENDO POWER!!! on: August 14, 2011 10:42:43 PM
Hoooooly crap this is the best thing ever. Your swap partner is the luckiest person in the world. I tried out knitting once upon a time but just found it too frustrating for me, especially multiple colors. This project almost makes me want to pick it up again so I could make some socks like this (it rarely gets cold enough for mittens in TX, you see, but my feet are always cold) however I know I don't have the patience to take on yet another hobby and get good enough to make something this awesome.

So that, coupled with the fact that I saw these first in Nintendo Power, makes me think you're super awesome.

PS sorry for the thread necromancy, but it was a fairly fresh corpse and this project didn't get enough love the first time. Smiley
148  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Fawful Stuffie! on: August 10, 2011 11:10:31 PM
Hoooly crap I loved Fawful! I never expected to see a stuffie of him, but who can complain? You did such an impeccable job on him. Your swap partner is now officially envied.
149  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Beaded Buttony Hoop on: August 07, 2011 10:50:11 PM
How beautiful! I can't believe you spent so much time on it, but I guess it's not so bad when it's something you really love doing. That and I find it easier to make awesome stuff for other people. If it's for myself, I always find a reason to put it off because I can make it any time. Either way, I'm super impressed by this.

Aww, these are really cute, and who doesn't love nature? It sort of makes me want to take up tiny felt softie making.
