I have such an amazing husband... I left had left Pinterest up last night when I went to work.  I had been looking at "Art Journaling" boards.  When I got home this morning, he told me that he thought they were neat.   Although I craft, I've never considered myself particularly artistic, so I relayed that to him... I told him I was only a doodler and list maker.  then I took a shower and went to bed.   When I got up this afternoon, he had messaged me this photo and the definition of what makes up a "List Poem".... and this little message.  "Baby, you should NEVER limit or compare yourself to others.  You say you're not a writer, but I listen to the stories you make up for the grandkids.... you say you're not an artist, but I've seen your doodles.  they are better than the ancient Aztec's stone carvings, and THOSE are considered priceless.  You're full of so much creativity.  If you want to make one of those "arty" kind of books, go for it."  and there was a $20 bill with instructions to go get some stuff to give it a try.

3  Planner/Organizer swap in New Swap Theme Ideas by fluttermuffin on: December 25, 2013 06:57:47 PM
With the New Year upon us, a lot of people use this fresh start to try and become more organized.  Just wondered if there would be any interest in some sort of swap geared toward planners/organizers?  custom pages, stickers, calendars, planners, etc?? I'm not able to organize, but I'd be an active participant.!!

So cute... Pleats, Panda and Petals... Oh my.  Smiley

I also received an awesome needle book from TheBrokenButterfly today. She nailed my love of all things Oz and created one based off "Wicked".  Amazing detail.

Thanks so much... I love it.

Smiley  I'm going to go ahead and post pics of what I sent libertine49..

"Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my" pillow.  my first attempt at making my own stencils and fabric painting.

some Wizard of Oz Character wall art.  I used old dictionary pages to print the images on... again, a first for me

a painted mug

My favorite... a Wizard of Oz, decoupaged birdhouse.  I used images from a vintage book....

I also sent a couple little extras that weren't crafted... a small pencil bag with a vintage lion plus a rainbow coaster.

I hope she liked it... I sure had a good time making these.

here is the lovely Cinderella set that I (my Emily Rose) received from Sharalee....  made me truely giggle when I realized that we both crafted Cinderella sets for each other... without even knowing it.  CMTA "creative minds think alike"
love this work dress... and the sweet little apron

and the bloomers and camisole set... such sweet little lace trim

the pink Cinderella dress.... the pink is perfect with Emily's complexion

I love the classic vintage look of these outfits.  Sharalee, you are a wiz at sewing.  Thank you!!!

on a side note, I found my lovely little Emily Rose (an 18" Madame Alexander doll) at the thrift store for $4.00.  just HAD to bring her home. <3
