1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Freezer paper stencil disaster, please help! on: October 19, 2010 06:40:57 PM
Cheap and easy solution. Make a new stencil and use textile spray paint. If you go down the aisle with the t-shirts you can decorate in alsmost any craft store there is spray on fabric paint that works very well with this type of fabric. Just make sure you drape some newspaper over the rest of the dress so you dont get any extra spray on it. Here is a link to the stuff I always use. It is super cheap and works SO well! Hope this helps Smiley
PS. if the link doesnt work for some reason its called: Stencil Spray Opaque Fabric Paint

5  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: First Raw Fleece: Picking, Washing & A Question on: April 10, 2009 08:26:38 PM
I just got my first huge box of sheep angora and its was filthy filthy filthy. I had the same little bits as you have pictured but I have no money to buy hand carders so I just bought two giant dog brushes and use those. there were still some little itty bits left after carding but by the time my stuff was all dyed there was almost nothing left. The stubborn bit I just throw into my wash again or stuffing pile.

I am crazy in love with the cherry blossom one, you could probably make a small fortune selling them!
10  Ohio / Ohio: Northwest / W.A.V.E. Festival on: March 09, 2009 08:17:46 AM
On March 21st at Lourdes College in Sylvania Ohio there is going to be a fabulous art festival! It is a womens arts festival and there will be crafts, fine art, entertainment, and food. If you have the day off or even a few minutes to pop in I and everyone else would appreciate the support.
Also, if you know of any other art festivals, craft fairs, or exciting goings on in Northwest Ohio please do post them here. I think we are all happy to see the ridiculous amount of snow we had this year gone and we need a day out.
