21  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: One of my first attempts on: July 29, 2008 08:10:45 AM
Your stitching is very even and neat I'd never have guessed it was by hand. Great job!

I tried making these little stuffies with a machine, but I can't, to save my life, sew a straight line with it. I enjoyed sewing them by hand too. I think part of crafting is actually the crafting. It made the project very portable to sew by hand too.

Cute patch. I think it's funny you're not sure how you made it. I'm not familiar enough with crocheting to help out. Sorry Undecided

This is Spritekin.

He is completely hand-sewn.

I used flannel and felt.

He is crafted from a pattern found in the book Cute Dolls by Aranzi Aronzo.

I love the way you use the spoons. I'm taking a resin pendant class next week, these make me even more psyched!
27  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Just a little something... on: July 28, 2008 12:03:42 AM
I'm fairly new here and I thought I should post a project. So here is a little cross-stitch I made earlier this year. I gave it to my 2 year old cousin for her bedroom.

Sorry, I can't post photos yet Tongue

Thanks for checking it out!

30  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Trouble sewing thermal knit fabric on: July 13, 2008 07:45:41 PM
I am a new sewer. I'm trying to make a softie out of some cute thermal knit. I will admit I'm not great at using my sewing machine, but I'm getting so frustrated. How can I sew this stuff without it puckering and getting stretched weird?
