1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Little Monsters! on: January 30, 2010 05:08:29 PM
These are couple of little monsters I made from some fantastic faux fur and a sweater I got from the thrift store.  I didn't use a pattern for either, I just winged it.  I'd love to hear your thoughts.

2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Silly, silly birthday gift... on: November 08, 2008 03:23:41 PM
This could have gone under several different categories but here it'll land!

My brother and his fiance' live 10 hours away and their birthdays are very close together.  Since we can't afford to be with them on their birthdays we thought it would be funny to send a party in a box.  So...the kid's made party hats, we bought a cake mix, icing and candles and then I stuffed the kids!!!!  It was a quick and easy project and we think they'll get a kick out of it.

Just the stuffies...

I used material on the back to match their personalities...

Would love to hear what you think and any suggestions for other fun things to put in before we tape up the box!

3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Only my second ATC ever! I'm so nervous...hold my hand, please. on: October 20, 2008 09:42:28 PM
This was made for a swap titled "Cemetery Angels".  We were required to use 3 elements other than the angel pic and the card itself.  Sooooo, I used a fabric background, photo copy, beading wire, beads, and machine stitching.  I really enjoyed creating it and wish I had better photography skills but here it is anyway.

4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My very first dotee! on: October 10, 2008 03:45:01 PM
Okay, I'm one of those slow learners who's always out of the loop and I didn't even know what a dotee doll was until about 2 months ago.  I live in a cave.  Anyway, I joined a Dotee for Beginners swap and this is what I concocted for my swap partner.  Hope she likes it!

5  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Flat panel computer monitor? on: September 24, 2008 05:14:04 AM
Our monitor died and I just can't throw it out.  We've taken it apart to try to inspire us but still can't come up with anything to do with it.  Any suggestions?
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Belly Cast on: September 15, 2008 01:02:08 PM
This is not an original idea, but rather than order the kit that's advertised (for $40 freakin' dollars!),  I figured out the process and produced my own.  This is a plaster cast of my torso from my very last pregnancy.  After casting I painted it with acrylics and now it resides on my bedroom wall.  I'd love to hear what you think!

7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Crafster virgin submits divorce reject painting... on: September 14, 2008 04:50:20 PM
Hi guys!  I've enjoyed Crafster for a couple of years now and finally crawled out of the shadows to share.  I did this painting 6 years ago as a gift for my brother and his now "ex-wife".  It was graciously returned to me after their nasty divorce.  I'm so tempted to  paint horns and a moustache on her!  Anyway, thought I'd pull it out of the closet and get some unbiased opinions.
