12  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Gift tags on Donated items question on: January 20, 2009 06:51:16 PM
I have a rather simple question for the group here.

I was wondering what kind of tags should you put on donated items, specifically baby hats, booties etc. Rather what do you PUT on the cards? I have seen some boxes of donated items and they all have some sort of tag affixed with a ribbon.

Probably just what the donated person thought was appropriate but I was wondering if this is also common among most donated/charity gifts.

Tried to google the info and I only found gift tag sites or just sites for charity.

Happily I have made over 25 hats, 4 knitted booties, four blankets, 2 bonnets and working on a sweater and burial set as well. Not to shabby for 3 weeks worth!

Thank you in advance for any information you could provide me!

i think the mohawk looks great! i just made one like that too, but i felted the hawk part and its holding up nicely.

yeah, my yarn stash is low on wool so I just used whatever I had. I have to move soon so I am trying to weed out my yarn/craft stash and not replace anything before I do so *its SOOOO hard not to buy yarn~*

thanks for the compliments!  Shocked

I have admired the knitted Mohawk hats and am still a little scared of knitting a hat (my attempts have been futile, but I keep trying) but I decided to make one anyways, but in crochet (obviously) :3

I used a basic beanie hat pattern (the double stitch seems too much, next time maybe single stitch and a larger hook) and the hawk seems...small (or am I having hawk envy?)
please any comments or criticisms welcome!

Here is my other hat I made last night, a red apple hat that an old school chum requested for craftmas. I used the boy beanie hat pattern from the happy hooker book
